The cost of these things is rather horrendous considering the actual mat cost, if your a miner over lvl 60 your almost guaranteed to have either several stacks of primal earth(3-4g) or an almost full one, and the powder(1g per stack) is trash except this use. No CD restraint or constant reagent costs, just a 100% to 300% cost increase. so 3-4g to make for 10g BO, you be the judge of it, just a waste buying over the AH to me.

EDIT: Mercurial Stone is now a trinket.

Please note that this requires a tool: Mercurial Stone. It's made by alchemists, and it's ONLY use is to make this stone (although it does double as a philosopher's stone). I've been trying to pay someone to let me borrow theirs, as I expect I will not be making much more of these after I've converted the mats I bought before I found out about this item.

if i put this on my pet, would it make him glow blue? i have seen some hunters that have glowing pets and i think it would be so cute for my raptor Tucker to be glowing blue. if so would i need to pay a mage to do it or is it something i can do myself. and if so how would i do it? also how much would it cost me for this or where could a acwire one?

I am scryer so the Aldor teainer is out.
I am Alliance so the horde trainer is out.
I am 345 and have bought every skill possible from the Honour Hold Trainer - Tatiana - still nothing.
I even have the Mercurial Stone in my bag.

I am lvl 67 so cant get to the Stormspire Trainer, but is he able to train me when the one in Honour Hold wont.

Without learning to make Mercurial Adamantite then i cant make the 2 items i got from trainer at 340 - the ring and the necklace which are both orange in my recipe list.

So question still is - Which trainer can i learn this skill from

I trained it at 330, having levelled to there on other cuts before realizing that this was one of the things you should level on first.

It was yellow for me; I got 3 skill points on the first 8 I made, and it went green on me at 335. I can't say when it turns gray, I'm not there yet :(.

Suggestion: save your adamantite powder for when you get to 325 JC, and then powerlevel on this stuff, it's pretty cheap to make.

its sorta a yes.. cuz the powder comes from prospecting ore... or at least thats how Ive been getting it. Which is cool.. cuz is sucks to prospect very pricey ores and end up with only dust. At least with this ore..the dust is useful.

You can now get all of the JC patterns from the trainer in Schattrath City. Hamanar in Aldor Rise will train you.

How do I train for this? I have 350 JC and have not learned it. Tatiana, the grand master jewelcrafter in Honor Hold does not offer this. When I open up the train me window with her, it is completely blank now. I am unfriendly with Aldor, so I cannot even see if their trainer will train it.

What to do?

I'm having trouble finding a trainer for this. I went to the trainers in Hellfire, Shattrah, and Netherstorm.. but none of them have it available.

For a scryer how do you learn this? I went to wowwiki as someone recommended and there is no info on the NPCs in aldor and in netherstorm... If anyone has any info pls post it.

I figured out that the guy in thrallmar teaches it. I just hadn't clicked "show unavailable" and therefore didnt think i had anything else to learn from him. (i'm dumb)

Just to sum up -

The "Mercurial Adamantite" recipe is from a JC trainer, and as far as I know, it can be learnt from any one of the three possible trainers, ie. in Honour Hold, Shattrath or Stormspire.

It is NOT a recipe that is a drop or is a spawn from a special vendor.

When I went looking for the recipe, I read this page and assumed it was a rare spawn from a vendor in Stormspire, but I actually found it listed under my Trade Goods menu in the JC dialogue box. (Turns out I rode all the way to Stormspire as a level 60 for nothing, only to find out I had already trained it without really noticing - but shh.... everyone has their blonde moments.)

The materials needed to make this item are the following -

4 x Adamantite Powder (which you get from Prospecting adamantite ore)

1 x Primal Earth (= 10 primal motes put together)

You also need to be near a forge and need to have a Mercurial Stone as a tool (sort-of like a Philosopher's Stone for Alchemical Transmutations). These are made by Alchemists and require 1 Primal Life, 1 Primal Mana and 1 Primal Earth.

I hope this clears up some of the misunderstandings.

I am a 346 JC and I can't find it from Honor Hold or Stormspire. I check the "unavailable" and it is not there either. I am Scryer so I can't go to Aldor to check. Any suggestions?

All of you that are saying that you can't find this:

You have probably trained it in Thrallmar/Honor Hold without realy noticing it.

In your jewelcrafting window its all the way at the bottom, along with mithril filigre, bronze setting and so forth.

I know I made this mistake anyway :P
