Honestly, the way i see it i would rather get (bright bracers) which have +4 int and get 9 stam on them, its a swap of stats because you'll have 9 stam and 4 intellect with bright bracers and 9 intellect and 4 stam with mindthrust, Seeing if you put +9 stam on both of those bracers of course

And you get bright bracers of ah rather cheap usually about 1 g MAX, compared to spending anywhere from 5-25 for mindthrust

These are the best 19 Twink priest wrist if you want mana. Whit an 9+ Int it's the highest Intellect boost on wrists for it's level, whit the second highest being as low as 4+Int.

Some priest favor spirit before intellect and would therefor like a set of wrists whit a spirit boost instead, but for the 19 bracket i would strongly suggest getting these instead since the highest spirit boost for wrists is only as low as 2+Spirit.

For my 19 priest twink I shoved +7 stam on boots rather than move speed and put SP on these.
When your renew ticks for ~100 you stop caring about running away, just living until friends show up

Mindthrust Bracers changed in patch 4.0.3.

I use to love these for my level 19 priest because they use to have + 9 intellect (which is huge at that level)
with the tradeoff being a - 5 stamina stat, which was completely fine for my priest because if the priest is doing
his job his health is not important because it is everyone in front of him (that he is healing) that is taking all the damage.

By adding a + 7 intellect enchant to the old version of "Mindthrust Bracers" (the ones that still had + 9 intellect and - 5 stamina), I would have a huge + 16 intellect for just the bracers. Then add + 7 intellect from "Black Widow Band" + 22 intellect on the staff, tree bark jacket, etc I ended up with a huge amount of mana and could actually be an effective healer in warsong gulch (while without all the extra intellect, sure you can be an effective healer, just not for very long).

These DO still drop in Cataclysm. But. Now they are BoP, 3 stam, 4 int, 3 spirit.

I can confirm on 11-11-11 I did get these bracers while farming SFK on my main. They droped off a Ravager btw. They are still BoE, however, if you are in a random dungeon and a blue item drops, BoE items become BoP items when they are needed on now. Hope this helps

They dropped for me yesterday off of "Razorclaw the Butcher". Was farming for both the Bracers and Shadowfang.

That's the first time that I've seen this elite out of more than 40 runs.

It dropped last night, while I was running two friends through SFK. I saw them and was impressed. +9 intellect on bracers is huge at that level! I told my friend that I'd never seen them drop before, and he had a rare find. I told him to equip them, but then it turns out he disenchanted them... He's new, but I couldn't stop making fun of him. He could've used those until 25-30 - maybe longer

More twink caster gear. Love it, even though some might argue that stam is too critical in BG's to wear these. Still, 9 intel is crazy at 19, so ppl who are selling these things for 20s really don't know what they have. You can always find a buyer. If you are lucky enuf to get them to drop, congratz. But, if your a twink who has to buy em, do it cuz these things OWN! a simple +5 stam encahnt which costs practically nothing in mats makes these bracers beastly. Even without the enchant, twinks have enuf hp to outlast all but better twinks and since this is a caster class item, a simple fear/pshycic scream/frost nova will create enuff space for u to use your extra mana to pwn. Im runnin thru SFK everyother day hopin this drops (and getting a shadowfang/assasin's blade wouldnt hurt to much either) :P

If you are planning on making a Caster for the 10-19 Battlegrounds these are great, with a +9 Stam enchant on them the bonus is humongous for that lvl.. +9 Int and +4 Stam, thats some damn powerful Bracers for lvl 19

I am still laughing about this...I ran SFK all the way through 8 time in the last 4 days trying to farm this drop, and after giving up tonight, I went on the ally AH, and found them for, I kid you not 65S! I couldn't believe it, and I had a muscle spasm trying to hit the buyout button so fast. Anyways, I took a screenshot, in case anyone doesn't believe that. I guess there was some karma in finding that, but I feel really sorry for anyone who's paid 30+G for these. Especially with the -5 Stam.

Don't put these on a 19 twink druid. I am aware that the only good twink druid at 19 is resto/balanced gear, but this item is not what you are looking for. I suggest just getting some green LEATHER bracers that do atleast +4 to stats (stamina/int/or spirit) and run with those.

If you are a twink mage you need stamina but YOU CAN STILL USE THESE! I would suggest(if you want to use these for twinking) get the enchantment +9 stamina so basically you get a +4 stamina, a +9 intellect, and a +17 armor!=REALLY GOOD WITH ENCHANT

For my twink warlock i went with Bright Bracers (+4 int / 16 armor) and the +9 stamina enchant.
I also made a 2nd set of green tinted goggles with a +8 intellect arcanum attached, so i could try swapping those and the pair I normally wear with +8 stamina. I still haven't figured out if i like having more life, or higher crit on spells / more mana

Seems to work pretty good though.
Just an alternative to those who don't feel like grinding these out. I've been at it for almost a week and haven't been able to find them (3-6 runs a day). I was able to grind out 2 tree bark jackets and a staff of the blessed seer in BFD in less time than i've been trying to grind for these.

Not to knock these, at +4stam/+9 int (with enchant) they're pretty nice, just seem to be impossible to find (or grind), at least for me.

For warlocks, the -sta is a major problem, because hp = mana due to their Life Tap ability. A warlock wearing these would be equivalent to a mage or priest wearing bracers with only +5 or +6 int as well as the -50 hp. Not only do they shrink the warlock's health, but they shrink his mana pool as well, resulting in a futile, death-filled combat experience. So, unless you enjoy being in ghost form and constantly repairing your equipped items due to bountiful death, use something else on your warlock.

Definantly designed for a mage as the class is capalbe of unloading all its mana before taking a single blow.

And for everyone who says it doesnt suck just get +5/+7/+9 stamina enchant, you guys are idiots. Get +5 int and make it even better. Augmenting the stamina nerf with a stamina enchant just makes it the same as a green eagle bracers with an int enchant.

I am twinking out a 19 warlock and on my server (hydraxis) twink gear like this sells for at least 40G. I saw these and figured i would take a run through SFK with my warrior to see if these will drop(fat chance). So I make it to the courtyard and 2nd mob i kill drops these!

Mage:
Depends on your spec, though it isn't that much of a factor at this level.
Frost mages could put this to good use, they have more snaring and slowing power than fire/arcane mages and therefore put int to better use than stam.

Priest:
If you're not planning on using it for a pvp twink, good bracers. If you are, you'd be better off getting something cheaper (with stam) and putting a nice fat +9 int on it.

Warlock:
Unless you're demonolgy, decent bracers. Not great, but worth a roll if it drops and you don't need the money.
Demonology locks stay away. Stam is more important than int for you.

This just dropped on a SFK run, and the lock along need rolled it. I was expecting him to ninja it, since his own bracers had 5 stam and int + 3 stam, but he actually equipped it. After the run, I went to AH and saw a pair of these sitting there with 35g bid 40g bo and 35.50g offered ~.~

The prices of these reflect that people think they are a twink item. They..are..terrible. Bracers with +4 stamina are better for a pvp twink. These would not be too bad for a pve mage, etc. that is good at avoiding aggro. But it wouldn't likely be worth tens of gold if the character is leveling past 19. All in all...this makes it one of the worst blues in the game. Up there with +spirit items that aren't even equipable by priests. Save yourself some gold and buy a green eagle item until something else comes along.
