Best twink caster belt for 40-49 pvp bracket. Goes well with Zum'rah staff from ZF, the ring off Ok'thor, the shoulder off Gerstahn in BRD. The cloth chest from RIn'ji Secret quest in UC(Horde only), Spellsurge Leggings that drop randomly in ZF. Can get any caster roughly 100+ Spell damage bonus without enchants.

This belt uses the yellow-tan and ocean blue (officially "Dark Blue") variant of the "Horde B5 Robe" artwork.

These are very useful for any caster in my opinion. They have high stats for the essential caster stats(besides spirit, which is needed in some cases) AS WELL AS added damage(warlock/mage) or healing(priest) AND better accuracy with spells. I can't wait until I go to BRD to get these. :D

So true... I'm a squishy balance/resto druid in all leather and am always on the lookout for leather items that would be good for me. The pickings are slim, and this belt would definately be beneficial. And not a big loss of armor in comparison to leather waist items the same level. Alas, I won't be able to try for it for a while.

went there with 4 lvl60's who wanted to do a Jailbreak quest, they failed the quest btw, and we went to an arena, killed a stupid ogre who dropped this :)

plz forgive my ignorance, but i've never missed with a fire bolt so far on my 49 mage, how does that "Improve your chance to hit with spells by 1%" work? cus' I say again, i've never seen a cast that says 'miss' as a result

chance to hit with spells means that you have +chance not to get a resist.

Not sure about with the new system, but I thought +hit meant less chance you'll see an opponent "Resist" your spell. Melee misses, casters get resisted, in the most basic of terms.

+ chance to hit with spells lowers the chance an opponent will FULLY resist a spell you cast on them....resistances are the same as b4 the xpac...the more resistance the higher damage reduction of a successful attack..........so YES + chance to hit is important

Trying to get this item, I've been run through ring of law quite a few times now and killed him 8 times now. I could use this and/or the cyclopean band (the ring) that he drops. I have not received EITHER item yet and gotten those stupid gloves (orgreseer fists) 5 times and the leggings 3 times.

Does this item still exist?

For those returning to classic and looking to obtain this as a 60 mage, I am here to tell you it is soloable!

It took me about 13-14 runs to the arena but I was able to get it from the particular boss on the 3rd kill.

There are two types of mobs prior to the elite spawning that in my experience, are not doable as mage. These are the thunder lizards (ranged) and the worms (also ranged). If you see either of these mobs you will need to wait 2-3 min for them to despawn and then run out / reset dungeon.

The other mob types are fairly easy to aoe down with blizzard / frost spec, with caution being given to the bats (silence) and the spiders (snare).

When the ogre boss didn't spawn I was typically just removing my gear, suiciding and resetting the dungeon.

As for the most important part, actually defeating the boss, you will have a very difficult time without greater arcane protection potions because this clown loves to spam AE and arcane bolts. With frost barrier and a potion popped prior to the fight (and ideally, a potion coming off cooldown halfway through the fight) you should have no problem with him. Don't forget in all these cases that there is a nice wall / ledge where you can avoid aggro and eat / drink between fights. From my experience, the boss never despawned on a wipe but this might be on a 30 minute timer or something.
