You can do this one at the same time as War Forage. I found most of the items in the little villiage around . They are guarded by a number of 'Shamen of the Black'.

This quest is hard. After you click on the barrel, the whole npc army of the opposing facton in camp will start chasing you. Even worse, it is an objective for both factions.

220-proof is 110% alcohol.

Leave it to dwarves; an alcoholic beverage that contains more booze than actual liquid.

anyone else recognise this quote from the play "Who's afraid of Virginia Woolf?" the quest context of destroying the alcohol would fit into the reference aswell

I also found with this quest its better if you wait for the horde to run in and start attacking the dwarfs! this way most of them are distracted.

Note: you will still get attacked! just not as much.. just do it quick like previous posts have said.

Also hunters i advice to dismiss your pet so you're able to just run around, feign death when needed and deterrence when busted :P

Another tip. You cannot click the barrel if you're in combat. Try not to accidentally combat lock yourself with dwarves fighting other NPCs.

Not sure who's bright idea it was to make it so you can't loot these things in combat, but it makes this quest much more difficult. What happens to me now is that while I'm killing dwarves, someone else comes in and loots the ale and the food. I was trying to do these on my 84 shammy and got attacked by three dwarves. I hexed one, killed one, and was working on the third one when another Horde ran up and took both ale and all the food. /sigh

This is a repeating battle. Our faction sets up a perimeter around the roads. The dwarves will soon attack and a battle begins. When the battle is over, it will reset.

I stayed in the area around (48:37). Help defeat all of the dwarves, then blow up as many kegs as you can before the dwarves come back.

I did this along with the food quest (highly recommended) and it took four battles for me to blow up all the kegs and loot the food.

The time it takes to kill all of the dwarves and blow up the kegs varies on how well you play. Good luck!

This quest is honestly a pain. As others have stated, you cannot destroy the barrels while in combat; but it's also worth mentioning that destroying the kegs with dwarves nearby will drag you into combat, and add you to their threat list. If they're not already in combat with an orc, or manage to defeat the orcs that they're in combat with, they will be coming for you, and have quite the follow distance to boot.

To make matters worse, there's a very short window between the time the orcs take over the area, and the next wave of dwarves. So those classes with a way of getting out of combat should make use of it as frequently as possible in order to get this quest done in any reasonable amount of time. Everybody else should switch between blowing up kegs and helping the orcs defeat the dwarves - to give yourself the most "dwarf free" time as possible.

Did anyone else have the Horde fighters who come to help, randomly vanish? They just disappeared on me mid wave and I got slaughtered.....Stupid!

Smash 10 Thundermar Ale Kegs within the Thundermar Ruins.

	Wildhammer Kegs Smashed (10)

Description

Many of the Wildhammer have already fled their homes. It is time to wipe them from the map.

Up on the ridge to the north you will find abandoned houses in the Thundermar Ruins. Kegs of potent Thundermar ale have been left behind.

Thundermar ale is 220 proof; I don't know how that's possible.

Smash open the kegs and set their content aflame. Burn them out! Leave the dwarves nothing to return to!
