Unless I'm mistaken. it seems like this quest can only be taken and handed in when Alliance controls Wintergrasp. The other quest, Defend the Siege, can only be taken and handed in when Horde controls Wintergrasp.

i have been looking and looking for this npc to spawn. So i opened a ticket asking where to deliver him.

this was my reply:

In this case the problem might be caused by the fact that the quest can only be handed in when the battleground is in the same stage as when you obtained it.
In this case if you got the quest while defending you can hand it in when you're defending again and if it was attacking it should be the same.

Hope this clears things up. dont waste your time waiting for him to pop.

Not a good response.. I mean how about were not defending it for a few days or something.. I mean I just think its wrong we gotta wait hours or even days to hand a quest in.

Alright, here's how to find him. If you go at any random time to your landing site or the keep when a battle isn't scheduled any time soon, he'll most likely be there. However, both at the start and end of a battle, I assume as part of the process that resets Wintergrasp, EVERY quest NPC despawns. A few minutes after the start of the battle or the end of it, they'll spawn where they're supposed to be, either at the landing camp or in the fortress.

Edit - Example Process:

Alliance controls WG, 30 minutes until battle
He is spawned at the Flight Point
or
Horde controls WG, 30 minutes until battle
He is spawned in the Fortress

Battle Begins
He is despawned
About 5 minutes into battle
He respawns at wherever he was before the battle started

Battle Ends
He is again despawned
About 5 minutes after battle
He respawns in Fortress if Horde won, at the base camp if Alliance won

It looks like you if have this quest, you cannot also have Defend the Siege at the same time.

So make sure you have the proper one depending on if your side is attacking or defending. You need to drop this if your side is on offense to get Defend the Siege.

I can't seem to get this quest if I've already done Defend the Siege for that day. Is that intentional?

I've researched a little about the "weekly quests" and it appears to count the week from the day you take the quest. In other words, If you havn't got them done before a week, you'll be able to take them already next day (Perfect if you're playing on other characters and just cba to do the quests immediatly. Take them and do them after 6-7 Days) ;D

Does anyone know if this is true or a myth.
Is it true, you can do this quest without any ally in wintergrasp.
I've heard that you need too type /duel to the siege target.
But it doesnt work for me yet, maybe it is not true or i do something wrong.
Can someone clear this up for me?

Confirmed that if you have this quest instead of Defend the Siege, you can still complete it even if your faction is attacking. (You would just have to pick it up earlier some time when your faction has Wintergrasp.)

You can complete it with no alliance in zone. Get a catapult, jump out, duel someone, jump into the catapult and have him kill it. The whole raid gets credit.
