Rogues can stealth to the back of the Pavillion and just kill Ragnar on his own...keep your back to the wall and you don't agro the two guards!

If you dont want to cross all the ruins and ur not a very stealthy class... a warrior for example you can enter the ruins just before the boss on the north side of ruins at 53.90. in the water you can jump on the beach on a little slope and u can get inside. that way you only have to kill the adds near the boss before engaging him

If you die during this fight, ressurect in the little nook behind the boss and you can aggro only the boss. This works with classes that can stealth as well. I just did this as a hunter, ran into the nook behind the boss, sort of to the side of him and feigned death, lost all the mobs chasing me, and called my pet out. He aggro'd but the two guards stayed where they were.

The trident didnt drop for me and im on the quest. Anyone know why? Oh btw ive killed him about 6 times now.

As a level 70 rogue I was able to stealth behind him and attack without pulling the other two mobs. There's not much room between him and the pillar, but it's enough to use ambush.

you no longer have to swim there. tome of clod weather flight can be bought on a level 80 and is BoA so you can send it to your alt to be able to fly there. it is usable at lvl 68 not 77 so u can fly as soon as u get to northrend

OK - after much searching, I couldn't find where to get up on the usland at the co-ordinates mentioned previously.

I finally swam between the two islands and saw a leaning pillar / colum that stretcGhed between the two, witht he bottom end on the island you need. This is at 20.23, 91.32

Get up on the island there, run straight ahead to the first crossway, turn left. At the far end, you'll see a long staircase - target mob is at the top.

As of Cataclysm, since Cold Weather Flying is now available as soon as you get to Northrend, you can bypass the two other mobs by flying in through a window behind the guy. At 70, even dropping a bunch of totems didn't aggro his bodyguards. Easy in, easy out.

Hunter:

Fly to window over where boss is. Land on window ledge and dismiss pet. Drop directly down (aggro boss), quickly summon pet. Kill boss. Loot boss. Mount flying mount, and fly up and away, out same window.

Cords 54,89 are good.

You CAN jump up the rocks near the bottom of the stairs leading to him. I was able to float at the top of the water and do a standing jump into a dip in the rocks and walk my way up. Will save a lot of time than fighting through the whole ruins.

Yes, if u swim to 55,93 there is a good place to go up and end just at the benining of the stairs.

this guy resides at these cords54-89 hes in a cupola and has 3 friends that attack at same time but an easy fight solo as a shammy.

The Trident of Naz'jan

Veehja in Riplash wants you to go to the far northeastern end of the Riplash Ruins. Once there slay Ragnar Drakkarlund and obtain the Trident of Naz'jan from him.

Description

Five hundred years ago, Azshara imprisoned a being named Leviroth in the waters below. Now these barbarians seek to undo our queen's work!

They took over our city and began to sacrifice my brethren to awaken him! When they ran out of naga, they began to take tuskarr. Their spirits will know no peace!

I will help you, for it will go a long way towards quelling my vengeance. Their captain, Ragnar, dwells deep inside northeastern Riplash. He has in his possession a golden trident. Bring it to me!
