I used the insignia at loc. 44,29. Talk to the sergeant that appears to finish the quest. He then gives you 3 more quests.

When you get near Skorn, follow the road from the west and use the insignia to summon the questgiver on the road outside the village (as soon as it tells you you are in Skorn). Accept all of his quests at once. The best way to tackle this is to work around the outside rather than bulling through the village.

Give priority to the Towers of Certain Doom quest - using the Sergeant's Flare to call down the attack on the towers. The reason for this is the casters on the towers WILL nuke you down fast unless you get rid of them. Once the casters are gone, the ground mobs are easier to tackle.

It's worth noting that you can use the Sergeant's Flare multiple times on the same tower, so if the casters respawn you can get rid of them again.

Continue to work around the edges, burning the longhouses and barracks as you go. Don't forget to chop the corpses up as well.

Correct, anywhere in the village or edge will do. I found a nice little hiding place behind a building (43.5, 29.6), where no-one bugged me and I picked up the three quests.

Careful though, as I came in the main road, I got mobbed by some trees? and ants that killed me quick and seemed to spawn out of nowhere.

You don't need get really INside the place between mobs...
I just ride over the the road, go inside, still at higher part of road but in the T-splitting where you can go down left or right. Here i call the questgiver without problems.

I was happy to discover that after I died, I could call the sergeant back again by using the trinket I was given at the outset.

Summon him away from any mobs and then dismiss him (he hits like a fairy and only draws aggro!) Also, you can fire the flares from within the towers to avoid the casters firing down on you. If, like me, you're a rogue- it is a piece of cake!

...Almost forgot, shared quest (Ally/Horde)- best keep an eye out when fighting mobs near road to the north. Passing enemies, or those arriving to do quest, often will find you "engaged" and easy PVP pickings!

I found that if you start on one side and make a circul you get through this with the help of the Sgt that you summon, also when you use the flare gun at the towers, i found that if you keep using them you dont get killed alot cause they keep those guys up top from firing down at you..

This quest has to be unlocked by doing a series of other ones. You want to complete the plague quest series first that you get from the guy at ember spear tower. I know this is vague, but just start questing from westguard keep....do the captain adam quests and it will lead you through to Skornful wrath. Apparantly this leads to more quests as well.

<name>, I must now ask you to undertake an operation so hazardous, so deadly, that only you can see it through.

The vrykul fortress, Skorn, sits on our eastern border. My scouts inform me that those 'giants' are poised to strike us, and with my forces scattered all over the fjord, I don't have the men to take the place by force.

Instead, you're going to use your cunning. I've sent a sergeant ahead with the details. Show this command insignia at Skorn and he'll reveal himself and follow your orders.
