I never picked up this quest while leveling. I am left with 2 quests left to complete the zone achievement. I believe the 2 quest I'm missing are these bird quests. However, I am now phased and I am unable to kill the vultures. I see them when I am far away but when I get closer they disapear. Anyone else have this issue?

I recommend saving this quest to do together with Master Trapper, so you can kill two birds with one stone. (Haha, birds..get it?)

this is the third quest i have encountered with this styile, of giving yourself a mission to exterminate a certine race, the other 2 are

I tried several times to pick up this quest and it wasn't working. I got it after I had accepted The Desert Fox and A Favor for the Furrier quests.

They are vultures guys... they only come down and become targetable if you leave coyote corpses lying under them. In exhange, they have super low health.

Edit: They actually come down when a coyote is at low health, it doesn't have to die. So maybe you can use the same coyote one as bait for more vultures.

After killing off these vultures, I entered flight form and started patrolling the area, aiming to find that Desert Fox.
It was then that the realisation hit me.
I had become the vultures that I had fought against.

I too missed this quest but was able to get it after killing one of the vultures without a pet. Actually had to run the quest with out any pet help.

What did vultures ever do to you Blizz? This quest really annoyed me. Its as if my character was walking along and decided the vultures were ugly, so she'd give herself a pat on the back and some gold for killing them. Real vultures fill an important ecological role as scavengers. They are far from being useless, cruel pests. I know we kill animals all the time in this game for no good reason, but this one actually seemed to be hating on vultures.

i have this and several quests that i have completed here but have no one to turn them into. can anyone give me an idea why?

Quest works whether you have phased or not, just acquired and completed the quest after completing Unearthing Uldum and In a Thousand Years you might be Worth... easy quest and provides cooking mats

I could not complete the quest - no Question mark. - It seems that carbonite would not show the ? for that automatic quest. I reloaded without carbonite - and completed it. It seems it was unknown to Carbonite database - but not sure about that.

WHERE DO YOU PICK UP THIS QUEST? It's driving me nuts and I'm not going to do the instance, but need to finish the quest line. Yep, I'm lost. Help.

Couldn't get this quest for the life of me. Zone was still instanced/phased in. I killed about 30 of the birds waiting for the pop-up quest and nada. I disabled my add-ons, reloaded ui, still nada. Dunno.

Update: This quest became available while I was on the A Favor for the Furrier quest. Rereading the comments it appears this was already noted and I had overlooked it.

kinda strange but I was able to complete this quest without ever picking it up...

I saw that it was one of the few quests I haven't done in Uldum so I flew down here to get it. Killed 9 birds and the quest popped up in carbonite saying it was complete... Opened quest log and sure enough there it was. I never got the "accpet quest" window or anything. Quite likely a bug but it worked out nicely for me.

I don't know if this will help anyone trying to do this quest, but I know that, I get motion sick sometimes when trying to spot something in the air like this quest has you doing. I found targeting the bird, then running around under them until your number on your spell goes from red to white, then using an instant cast spell brought them down instead of running around with your camera pointed up in the air. 85 Destructo Lock was able to down 'em in 2-3 hits.
