Walking down into the badlands great scar,
My pac filled with eye, toes, dead hearts in jars,
I came to a dwarf who offered a drink
"I'll tell you a story!" He said with a wink.

It was sunny that day" he said with a smirk on his face,
I was minding my business, starring into blue space.
When suddenly he came flying overhead
"Deathwing is back!", Said my comrades with dread!

I made a solem promise, upheld to deaths embrace
I said, I'm gonna punch that dragon in the face!
The dragon had knocked loes a ton of foes
Only dang rocks waiting to be disposed!

Fists filled with blood, I charged right on in
Punches that bursts those rocks from within
Hundreds of them with mindset to kill
Each one falling, fists like steel drills!

I stood before him, his eyes open wide
Theres no where to run, no where to hide!
Fists wound up, jumped up with grand grace
Landing a blow right onto his face!

He finished with his fist rased up in the air
His heroic pose, wind blowing in hair
To this day I remember Theldurin's tale
To a next adventure onward, on this grand boat at sail.

To break down the rock walls, punch an elemental while it is standing near the wall.

Edit: Yes, you can punch the walls directly, too. I had to go test this for myself.

Please Blizzard, make this quest chain a repeatable one - no loot, no money, nothing, just the quest itself. I swear I'd do it at least once a week and Im pretty sure I wont be the only one.

This quest and the two that follow are so hilarious. My sides hurt from laughing so much. Arguably some of the best quests in the game.

"Fine. You don't get to hear about how I beat Deathwing in a knife fight. Your loss."

Psh, This has got to be the best quest in the chain. So what, a knife fight and babes. Punching through rocks and a demonic dragon is much better. And honestly, looking for deathwing in the clouds. Boring! Yep, I gotta say this is the best quest in the chain.

OMG, I had avoided Badlands totally , just lvl'd too fast and was in searing Gorge, just happened to pop into badlands and this... is.. the... best quest ever. Goooo Blizz. I agree this should be a daily.

Easy 7000+ quest - just hit each one at lest once in each section - then punch the wall and do the same again in that area - until you go through a wall and Deathwing stands there - so hit him - quest complete.

I wish there were more quests like this. A little lore, + drunk, exaggerating NPC's, + the ability to replay their story in a phased environment, + humor (including self-referential humor) = awesome.

Also, I got to see Deathwing in his human aspect which was rather interesting, honestly

"Welcome to the Machine" was my favorite quest since Cata came out...until I got the chance to punch Deathwing in the FACE.

A word of advice for everyone.

Don't finish this quest, save it for later.

For when your raid guild/group comes to face Deathwing in a raid and wipe time and time again, you'll have something to vent your anger upon.

"You made me lose over nine thousand gold on repairs, you stupid dragon! TAKE THAT!"

Here is another quest that I wished was a daily (along with Gnomebliteration).

Is it just me or does Deathwing look scarier in his human form as opposed to his dragon form?

I must be the only one having trouble with this quest. I can't get through the first part without seeming to lose 10% of my health with each punch, getting annoyingly turned around each time I punch through a wall and ending up with 6 or more elementals on me at the same time and dying as a result.

I did this on my resto shaman alt, when the quest was done the sky was bright red and there were flames all over the ground.

All I said was. "Holy crap! THIS is the day that Deathing came!"
And I didn't get the achievement. :(

What you're supposed to do: get through the entire scar by punching elementals in your way and breaking the walls by punching them too. At the end you'll get to deathwing, then punch him too. Hilarious!

One thing I noticed whilst doing this quest in a group of three people (2 level 47's and one 85, which, by the way looked ridiculous with three dwarves punching Deathwing in the face).

Is that, the amount of health you have as the dwarf differs depending on the level you are. The two level 47's had only 1999 HP, and the level 85 had 6141.

Oh, and the level 85 barely didn't aggro any Dang Blasted Rock Elemental due to his level.

Epic part was during orc's story he is about to engage Deathwing on his chopper, and out comes the dwarve yelling i am gonna punch deathwing in the face.

Interestingly enough, with the advent of Mists of Pandaria you will be able to start a Dwarf Monk, join a Dragon Soul raid and truly and honestly punch that dragon in the face. Repeatedly. And lethally.

In case you wanted to get Deathwings set, here are some examples of it: Colossal Dragonplate Armor, Colossal Dragonplate Armor, Colossal Dragonplate Battlegear...
