If you are allince, you can't speak with Gringer ( he's horde ;) ), you need to talk with Kebok to get a wind rider.

Easily finished out Cape of Stranglethorn achievement on this, with about two quests to spare.

This series was pretty cool, showing phasing in the old world. I really liked the feel that I was defending booty bay, swinging on a rope to a pirate ship and such.

I was at about 0/6000 Honored with Bloodsail Buccaneers (just enough for 'The Insane') and after all the quests and killing i had to do to complete this quest line, i was at 2465 Friendly, so it cost about 3500-3600 Bloodsail rep to finish all the quests in the zone.
(*Note: I didn't do any Faldir's Cove quests)

Completing this quest did not decrease my reputation with the Bloodsail Buccaneers. However, killing Fleet Master Firallon did (-125 to Bloodsail Buccaneers reputation).

The phasing after completing this quest seems to be broken right now, when you hand in the quest baron revilgaz is delighted to see that you are awake and tells you they found you floating in the wreckage. However I just killed the captain jumped into the sea and swam back, (at which point everything went back to the regular booty bay phase). I think the quest completion text is hinting that there should be a cut scene as soon as you kill the fleet master.

Hope that makes sense.

When I did this quest, when I was dismounted from the windrider my action bars had disappeared.

I used keyboard shortcut alt-F4 to quit the game (since I had no actionbars to do so). When I logged back in the action bars were back and I could go kill the admiral.

Are there any adds when you attack him (e.g. the guards outside his cabin on the Crimson Veil or Ironpatch the Orc), or is it just you and him?

Just finished. When he dies, Revilgaz orders the cannons to let loose at the ship, which knocks you down and out. The game then ports you to standing on a bed beside the rogue trainer.

Keep this quest and do not turn it in, if still planning to kill Bloodsail Corsair pirates on the ships and farm Steamwheedle Cartel reputation. It is the last quest in the chain which controls phasing. If too late and already turned in, then find other ways to get rep (one interesting comment by lazymangaka on the other page says to group up with someone who still has the quest and share the reputation gains even if you can not see the event).

Keep this quest and do not turn it in, if still planning to fight bruisers for Bloodsail Admiral title or Bloodsail Buccaneers reputation.

If you do not have time to fight mobs right now and just want Booty Bay back without the pirates, then completing the quest objective restores calm and the npcs, inn, bank, ship to ratchet, etc. Keep the quest in your quest log.

If ready to go back fighting the mobs later, then abandon the quest and accept it again, then leave the area and come back into phase to start the event.

Important for those that want to be Exalted with both the Buccaneers and the Cartel: during (!) this quest the phasing started after accepting ends. This happens the moment Firallion is killed and you are teleported back. You can however restore it by abandoning the quest as mentioned.

Therefore you should accept this quest, then grind to max Honored Bloodsail during THIS quest before killing Firallion. I made an overview on the Bucaneiros da Vela Sangrenta page.

Awesome end to Bootybay. kinda wish the fight was kinda like a dun boss, Just less hard. He also should have been elite to represent the final Part of the quest, an sides hes Like the captain Hook of wow! (wich by the way they Need to make 1, along with his feared Clock ticking croc Enemy. fights not Hard So you should't have to much of a hassle. just de-patch the bird or focus on Him, Its a Long quest but over all The Chain is worth It. I got Quite a Lot of rep from doing it all. Great way to Get your rep Back if wen't bloodsail for a time.

if only Blizzard didn't break that area into 2 chats =/

WOW!, its so funny when no ones says where the quest chain begins. I guess you just get to booty bay and start doing quests until you go to the baron

[We've nearly won the day, largely thanks to you. One task remains, however... kill Fleet Master Firallon.

It looks like most of Firallon's crew is already dead, but I know that old sea dog well enough to know that he's not done yet. No, he's cooped up tight in his cabin, ready to go down with his ship.

Speak with Kebok again to get a wind rider. I'll try to hold off the cannonfire while you're on board.]
