Disclaimer: The events described below took place during Beta, build 12644

It's possible I was missing something, but I died 3 times attempting to get into the Blackrock tower. The problem is two guards posted in front of the entrance with an additional Warden standing very close by.

I would successfully distract the guards but as soon as I did the Warden would cast Stealth Detection and instantly spot me. From there Death quickly followed! This being Beta not sure if this is intentional or not.

What I ended up doing was dieing and entering the tower as a ghost. I ran up to the top level and rezzed out of sight of the two Orcs guarding the entrance to the room you need to enter. I then chloroformed each guard separately, allowing me to enter the room, chloroform the remaining guard, and plant the charge. I had to chloroform a guard once more to exit the room, but I was able to do it successfully.

From there I simply ran down a level and jumped off the tower into the area unoccupied by mobs. I was concerned about Jorgensen at this point as he ran down through the occupied tower, however he joined me without aggro'ing anything.

Other than this brief annoyance the Bravo Company/Keeshan quest line has been very enjoyable! GJ Blizz!

The key to the tower part of the quest is to make it all the way to the top. Just being inside the base of the tower won't allow you to plant the charge....despite the fact that I ALWAYS plant my demolition charges at the base of a building....not at the top :)

Just played this for patch 4.0.3a. Took my level 22 paladin. You use the bravo company kit from the prior quest. Approach the tower at 65,71 or the ammo hut at 63,70. I approached from the rear. Use distraction to pull the guards off the door and slip in from the side. My field kit was a little buggy. I had to dismiss and reactivate it to get the bomb button to show. The hut has no one inside so just plant the bomb and buggy. The tower has one guard inside the ground level who I chloroformed. Remember to climb all the way to the top. There is a middle landing that feels like the top, but find the small ramp all the way to the actual top. There are three guards up there. I distracted them to the left and entered the room from the right and quickly planted the bomb. I jumped down to escape. Taking jump damage does not turn off the camouflage. Neither does performing herbing. One final pointer, when performing the chloroform attack remember to left-click the target not right-click so you do not inadvertently start auto-attack.

I believe this quest name is a reference to a bit by Reginald D. Hunter in his stand-up appearance at the Apollo that's based off of a catchphrase from Batman Begins: "To conquer fear, you must become fear".

Wow, what a quest. I have a hunter (but that doesn't matter because you cant use your pet)... how many times did I die! anyway, the tower at floor level is the easy one (however the distraction doesn't last that long) but the other one where you have to go in and up top was so difficult. I found the best thing to do was run in go upstairs, let the mobs attack your following dude and then when you get up top let the mobs kill you. Run back dead and resurrect at the top on the opposite side to where the mobs are. Then camouflage then distract on the left hand side of the tower top. Run around the opposite side and inside. The drop your seaforium, then hearth. I couldn't do it any other way.

Beautiful quest, and the entire chain is compeletely awesome. Did this quest a little while ago with my lv. 20 rogue (it really doesn't matter since you need to be using that field kit to accomplish your objectives) and encountered no problems. No deaths. There is rather big group just in front of the tower, Distraction them away (there is plenty of space where Distract to) and then there is a lone orc. Chloroform him from behind and climb all the way up. On the very top of the tower plant the seaforium. There are three guards but they meant nothing to me, was able to plant the bomb without them noticing. Just plant it in LoS so they cannot see you. Beware of one guard buffing itself with a stealth detection upon your return to tower entrance, just keep yourself at the back wall and check the said guard for his stealth detection duration (it is roughly 18 - 20 secs). If you wanna be safe, chloroform that lone orc inside the tower again. When the guard's stealth detection wears off, distraction them away and go outside and left, there is the munition depot. It is much easier than the tower. Two guards, distraction them. Inside plant the bomb and keep those guards in check. Distract them again and exit the depot, though I managed to plant very quickly and thus exiting the depot before the guards returned to their posts. But it can be risky. Your call. The way to Keeshan, who is to the east of the blackrock base, should be quite safe. Just avoid that heavily guarded POW area to the left of the canyon.

It took me several hours to complete this quest, but I finally did. (ta-da!) My big problem was finding the top of the tower. I finally found it by looking sort of along the outside of the tower once I got to the top. First, chloroform the guard at the bottom inside. Then go up the ramp to the top of that ramp. Look around for the boxes of stuff. The ramp is just to the left and outside of where the boxes are sitting. Look carefully so you don't fall off the tower. That first step is a doooozy! Handle the guards as previously described. And you're golden. ;)

I am getting very angry just to how broken this quest is. When people ask me about my best example of the worst quest I have ever done, it'll be this one.

This quest used to work fine, I've done it 4 other times without issue before patch 4.1.0. After that patch dropped, this quest is hopelessly broken. Even if you distract the guards, the field kit doesn't stealth "Jorgensen" and the mobs see him and attack him (if you're lucky) or both of you. Good luck getting close enough to chloroform the orcs without them seeing your companion first.

The strategy I use for now is to use Jorgensen as a decoy: while the guards go after him, run over and get/plant what I need to.

*At the cave to get the key: distract the guards, run into the cave.
A) If they dont notice you then do the quest as Blizzard intended.
B) If they go after Jorgensen, just go grab the bag on the wall and get out of the cave, preferably towards the rocks so you can rez safely.

*Go let the villagers out. You shouldn't need to distract anyone for this, it's easy to get over there without being seen.

*To set the bomb in the tower: Distract the guards out front, sneak in. If the guard in the room sees Jorgensen, just let them fight it out and run up the ramp, circling halfway around the right side.
A) If you don't die here, all good, continue on with the quest as Blizzard intended.
B) If it bugs and you do die, rez on the top out of sight of a guard, let Jorgensen appear, camo yourself, walk up as if to chlorform the first guard. Likely they'll see Jorgy and start fighting your companion. Let them have at that, run in, plant the bomb, jump down because you'll end up dead either way. Corpse run back, rez in a safe area.

*For the ammunition hut, stealth on over. Distract the guards out front.
A) If they don't see you, continue on and walk all the way to the back of the hut. If your bomb isn't appearing, toggle the kit off and on until you have the seaforum option for the 4 button, plant one. Exit carefully.
B) If they do see Jorgensen, just run to the back of the hut, hit the bomb button (if it's there). If it's not there don't bother toggling, just stand at the back of the hut and await death. Corpse run back to the inside at the very back of the hut, rez, apply the kit, drop the bomb. Get out however you can manage it.

Do the rest of the quest as you're supposed to. If you've had bugs up to this point, just take it for granted that your camo is useless, and you'll probably die a couple more times on the way to Shalewind Canyon.

Hopefully that helps anyone that's having nasty bugs in this once awesome questline.

Your plan worked great for the munitions hut, but I get killed every time at the top of the tower. Chloroform 1st guard, Jorgenson aggro's 2nd and or 3rd guard every time, which disables my field kit, and removes my camo. Also, when the field kit disables, there's no longer any way to plant the explosive in the tower.

Have a ticket in to Blizz.. 20 hours, 27 minutes to go... : (

Adendum to top of the tower: after ressurrecting on top of the tower (oposite side of the door), plant a distraction at your right - this will attract the three orcs there. Go to the left, enter the small cabin, plant the bomb, get out of there. No more deaths.

just did this on a 33 Survival Hunter.
You can summon your pet after Jorgensen and you leave the compound.

When the orcs aggroed,(since Jorgensen is NOT under camo)
let him and the pet handle the two outside guards,
dropped a frost trap on the inside guard,
FD to drop out of combat,
re-apply the field kit,
re-apply camoflage,
drop the charge,
heal up,
kill last guard,
descend ramp,
stopping part way up, so you can chloroform bottom guard,
distract outside guards, if necessary
and proceed to new camp

This quest sucks, with the camo u are supposed to be able to move behind orcs but they nearly always detected me, I will avoid this one on my next alt!

This is the worst quest I have ever done! I finally finished it after dying too many times to count and every bit of my armor is broke. I will NEVER do this quest again EVER!

I just want to point out that in the tower you do not have to go INSIDE the top part of the tower to plant the explosives, you can just come very close to the wall click your seaforium and you are done.

I hate this quest, the orcs agro far too easily, and once they do, you are DEAD! I did this before on my Draenei priest and don't remember having this much trouble, so did they tweak something in a recent patch or something?

On the other hand, I think my priest was level 40 when I did it, so if I got into trouble I could fight my way out. Now that's fun, this just sucks.

This quest is tough as a nail sandwich until you figure out how to avoid dying 10 times.

Ammo Hut:
Just place the seaforium outside the very back wall. No guards to distract at all.

Tower:
Distract as many as you can in front and make your way inside using chloroform on the guy if needed. If you don't get it perfect, don't worry, just move as far inside as you can and up the 1st ramp if possible. If you die, ghost back and respawn in the mid-section of the tower. Now move up the 2nd ramp and at the top of the ramp, place your seaforium where the ramp reaches the top level against the outside back wall of the room. Once finished, jump off to carefully avoiding guards below. (1 death maximum)

I died at least 10 times due to #$%^ty gear penalties before I figured this out. Save your time !

Come on, blizz... I understand you want to enforce the idea that it's a stealth quest, but Elites? Did it HAVE to be Elites? What with the glitch where Jorgensen doesn't get the stealth buff, it would have been ok... if the elites didn't OWN him within 5 seconds. hopefully, this glitch will be fixed soon

I had no problem using stealth/distract or chloroform, so possibly 4.2 (released yesterday) fixed issues.

I was looking for the seaforium charge in my bag though. The charge isn't an item, it's a new Option 4 in your Bravo Company field kit.

Once you switch quests, you may have to reactivate the Field Kit a couple of times to get the 4th option to show up. I reactivated mine inside the tower (Yikes!) and got the seaforium option.

Okay, I've done this quest line with several toons, and I always have a problem planting the Seaforium in the tower. Using Chloroform on the one lone Orc inside the base of the tower does not work. Let me say that again. Using chloroform on the lone Orc inside the base of the tower does not work. I've done this with at least five toons and it always goes the same way. Chloroform the orc in the lower tower, he recovers when you're at the top of the tower (it's tricky running up the ramp, because you can run off the edge and be at the bottom again), and he'll charge up and own you.

The last time I did this, I tried something different and it worked like a charm. First, do not distract the guards guarding the outside of the tower. Simply come up from behind, camouflaged, and you can sneak in right behind them. They will not see you. Just hug the outside wall as you approach the entrance, and go right in. Once inside the tower, do not use chloroform. Again, he will recover by the time you make it to the top and own you. Behind the lone orc on the inside, throw the distraction near the entrance. The lone orc and the guards will run to it, and you can take a leisurely stroll to the top of the tower, plant the seaforium, jump down. Planting the other Seaforium charge can work the same way. Just come up behind the guards and sneak in. They won't see you. However, since there's nothing on the inside of the armory, you can use the distraction on the outside, whichever you like.

what's with all the cloak and dagger quests? it seems that these types of quests are just PITAs. the one in Uldum is equally painful.

Amazingly, this quest is very hard even for a 36 priest. Perhaps I should take my level 85 paladin here and see if he, too has a problem. This quest appears to be broken and/or needlessly difficult for the usual toons trying to complete it. The guards at the top of the tower always are a problem.

this quest sucks. the chloroform is terrible. 20 seconds and if your not completely out of sight when they snap out of it, they can find you even when stealthed. the action bar is so buggy too. i must've untoggled and retoggled the survival kit about 20 times and abandoned and took up the quest again twice. still no bomb on the action bar. the guards can kill you in 2-3 hits if your the recommended level for the quest, and detect you extremely easily. when i did this quest in 4.0 with my level 80 it didn't seem too bad. then again, it was my level 80. i could one shot the guards. i don't remember the action bar being so buggy though. i hate this quest and i will not do it unless i see a note in the patch notes of any new patch "fixed bugs for To Win a War, You Gotta Become War" or something along those lines

If the bomb item doesn't show on your action bar, just press '4'. It will then plant the bomb anyway.

If anyone is having trouble with the action bar not showing the seaforium charge button, simply abandon the quest and then go and get it from John. J. Keeshan again and voila! The seaforium button will be there when you reactivate the bravo company pack.

Bad quest. 21 Shaman did it with one guard dead and both me and Jorgensen dead once.

Do not go inside munitions building - as others have said, lay the bomb against the middle of the back outside.

Distract guys outside entrance of tower building. Sneak in. Don't mess around, just kill the guard. Let Jorgensen take the heat then both of you wail on him. Jorgensen, if he dies, will rez shortly and catch up to you (I didn't think to try to heal him and let him tank, although I wonder if that might work). Didn't need to lay any totems to do the job. Ran up and laid bomb at back of top tower building at the top of the stairs as others have suggested. The guard up there didn't appear to care about me even though I forgot to turn the camouflage back on.

Ran back down to the first room. If you even step beyond the inside guard's body on the first floor (at the bottom of the stairs), they will all attack. I don't know how you lay a distraction far enough away from there to get out. Silly really. I died then in a fury of fire and blades, but was at least tickled not to have run all the way back there and try again.

Levitate or parachute might be handy to skip out the back way from mid-level if you have them.

Actually, I discovered that the seaforium charge button is there, you just can't see it. I could only see the first three buttons but when i pressed my number 4 on my keyboard, the charge was activated.

If the seaforium button doesn't show up, you can still press 4 to use it, you just can't see it or click it

as of 4.3 I just got this quest ..buggy as well...

EVEN if you cant see your seaforium (on button4) press it anyway ! I did and bomb planted!

I'm trying to plant the Seaforium Charge in the tower. I knock out the first guard that's at the base of the tower. But when he wakes up, he aggros me. Everytime. And I die because of it. That ain't right.

FORGET going in either building...stand close behind the buildings and push 4 until the seaforium charges plant. Saved me so much grief! Hope this helps!

tried every method in this mission even read above comments and tried again and again but nothing happened this quest is not responding even the seaforium are not working not even in the towers ..........please i'm definite that there is abug in this mission.
20+ times and my fingers HURT from going back over and over and over again from the graveyard. this quest is just giving stress to my fingers :((

This quest is completely bugged, ive tried it like 50 times and everytime i have no option to plant the seaforium bombs...

I logged out and logged back in and the ability to plant the seaforium showed up in my action bar when I activated my kit again.

I had to place the charge in the munition hut first, then put the second charge in the room at the TOP of the tower.

Ok, this quest is ridiculous, for the reasons mentioned by everyone, but I figured out the easiest way to do it. You don't have to go into the hut you just press against the side of the hut and hit 4. As for the tower, I had to die a couple times to where i could rez at the mid platform area. Once I did that I camo'ed again and came up to the top landing for the tower. Once there, you will be facing the back of the building. Just smash yourself up against the building and hit 4 and oila the bomb is planted. Last problem was I knew I could either die again and just take the penalty or use my heartstone which was set at stormwind. It is an easy flight back to Shalewind Canyon, Redridge to turn in the quest.

awesome quest, but still buggy.. aside from what everyone else is saying.. i kept dying when an orc attacked my bud because even though he held aggro, i couldnt attack and help him out because the bar wont turn off in combat.. after he dies, i get a garunteed death
