Fale com o Remador da Vela Sangrenta que fica na ilha maior da Praia Selvagem, próximo aos dois barcos, do lado do coqueiro. Ele o levará para o campo de bote e lá você irá utilizar o canhão novamente.
Vale a pena utilizar o canhão para completar a missão.

This quest is really annoying if someone has started it just before you. They will be a few seconds in front of you the whole way and kill everything before you can and all you can do is watch. If that happens, suggest you return to shore and come back out again.
Also mid-run my cannon-loader stopped working so I had to return to shore anyway

Lets get this straight. I load the cannon. I ready the cannon. AND, I fire the cannon. BUT the guy rowing the boat move it when he feels like it. So if he is the one who decides when and where to move the boat to why doesn`t he just do the whole damb quest himself and stop waising my valueble time.

If you're a high level with flying mount doing this quest you can just fly where the mobs are and aoe them for credit to avoid the slow canon action :)

If you don't see any Venture Co people at the first stop, wait until the next few.

I believe the boat goes around in a circle with the oil rigs. The Venture Co people have a short respawn time.

Also, you don't have to hit them exactly. The cannonball can hit under a platform and the damage will still go through.

What i loved most about this quest is that everybody, and that is EVERYBODY, not on this quest chain can kill any NPC you need to interact with.

Maybe phasing would be a good idea?

Anyway : after waiting for 5 minutes for my NPC to spawn i just flew to the area, landed and did my aoe thingy. Did the quest in 2 minutes this way.

Dont worry about aggro .. you wont get any.

I much prefer this style of cannon quest than the mindless "SPAM THE CRAP OUT OF "1" FOR 15 SECONDS, TA-DA 200 KILLS!" ones we usually get.

Too bad I'm probably in the minority.

Load your cannon while you are moving and wait to aim until you stop. This should allow you to get three shots off per location.

Don't do this quest if you're in a dungeon queue. My turn came up and I was on this boat. Was in the group but didn't get ported to the dungeon. Couldn't get summoned either so I had to abandon the dungeon. Cost me an hour.

wow I totally messed this up. I couldn't seem to find any of them to kill and I had to go somewhere so I logged off. When I came back on there was no boat. So I went back to the guy and nothing happened when I clicked on him. So I thought ok let me abandon the quest and go to Ironpatch again. Well I did but when I clicked on Ironpatch nothing happened. I thought maybe I could redo ol blasty but no. So now I don't know what to do. Any ideas? I am now stuck being "friendly" with them and can't even kill the buccaneers. And of course now can't finish my Stranglethorne quests.

This is arguably one of the most tedious vehicle quests I've encountered (leveling as Alliance). The cannon takes ridiculously long to load, and lock in place, and even then your overeager oarsman doesn't hesitate to waste a cannonball (that someone presumably has to get back later, fighting sharks to do so) by speeding along while you're trying to line up a shot.

That said, I'm not sure which is faster; a ninja sprinting across the top of the water, or this oarsman paddling a rowboat with a cannon and infinite cannonballs (with a stick, not an oar, no less).

A flying mount and area affect spells work great. They respond fairly quick if you can get to the top of a rig. Just bring something to refill mana, I forgot too.

So I had the same issue a few other people here had. I had to log off before finishing all the quests in the area, when I logged back in I was unable to interact with the pirates at all. Opened a ticket, it seems the way to 'fix' this issue is to move out of the area and back to it, then you can do what you need to do. However this is a temporary fix. Log back off and when you come back you'll still be in the same situation. Fly out, fly back in and you're fine once again. Talk about a pain in the tushy. >.<

For those unable to find the targets, look upwards. They are at the top of the pipes, so if you look up you'll see them. Otherwise its just traveling around and around and wondering where the targets are at. Also you barely need to be aiming in the correct direction, hit anywhere close and you'll kill a dozen at a time. It isn't horrible, but it is a bit irritating. Specially since if you lock in your aim and then the boat moves there is no help for it but to go ahead and set off your shot. You won't be able to change your aim one tiny little bit unless you do so. Meanwhile, definitely follow Bittles' advice, above, and load your cannon while you are moving and aim as soon as you are stopped. I couldn't get three shots off before moving again, but even getting two shots off seems to quicken the speed at which you finish this quest quite significantly.

In the bubble speech when you talk to the Bloodsail Oarsman, it says 'batton' instead of 'batten'. Typo or misspelling? I've noticed quite a few recently. Don't Blizz use a spell checker? lol C'mon, Blizz! Lots of kids learn English mostly from playing computer games so you've gotta be more vigilant!

For those that have logged off and been bitten by the "OMG they are now hostile and in RED and i cant hand in the quest!" problem, here is what i did...

Swam ashore and ran into booty bay, straight down the ramp to the end of the platform and waited for the ship
Took the ship to "ratchet" hopped off . got the "discovered ratchet message" got back on ship
Got back off at Booty bay and then ran back to hand the quest in, along the way clicking pirates will confirm they are now GREEN and friendly :D

Note: just running ashore and into the jungle wont work :/

This is a key quest to get for those attempting to complete Loremaster. This quest leads to Damsel's Luck which leads to the (3) Brashtide Crew, Striking From Within, and Making Mutiny, these lead to Doublerum then Return to Revilgaz which leads to (2) Seeking Seahorn which branches to The Damsel's Bad Luck and Turning The Brashtide. The other branch after turning in Return to Revilgaz is Prepare to Takeoff which leads to The Final Voyage of the Brashtide and Bloodsail's End. I believe this one quest leads to a total of 13 quests. Once I was on this chain the Cape of Stranglethorn quest acheive was easy to accomplish. On to other regions.

Just a quick note for those people with the hostile names issue. Sure, you can head to the boat in booty bay and back to reset the buff, or you can swim south until you hit about 2/3 fatigue and the debuff disappears, and then just swim back and the mobs will be green name again.
