For Alliance you must complete In the Outhouse and rescue Drag Master Miglen in order for Jinky Twizzlefixxit to give you this quest.

OK. After completing the quest and exiting the fireboat, I can't find Jinky Twizzlefixxit to turn it it. The pirates are still firing at the barge. Is this a phased quest or am I missing something?

I also had to do 'Bar Fight'. After a couple minutes of searching for Mazzer, and thinking of opening a ticket, I finally found him on one of the floating 'docks' (not sure what to call them). It does seem to be phased, since the barge was under attack, on fire and surrounded by pirates after I accepted the quest.

For anyone having difficulties handing this quest in - it automatically turns itself in when you complete it.

This seems to present some difficulties with some addons - I'm not sure which ones specifically. I turned all of mine off, then restarted the game.

After the 15 fires were out, it went to the next part of the chain with no problem whatsoever.

Mazzer Stripscrew is at on the goblin side barge.

I didn't have to abandon the quest. I simply disabled my addons, reloaded my UI and the quest completion dialog/panel appeared. Clicked the button, the quest completed, re-enbled my addons, reloaded my UI and I was off and running. Saved me from doing a rather tedious quest again. I used "Addon Control Panel" to facilitate this. Happy questing!

Mazzer Stripscrew is located at 78;75 Once you put out the fires it should automatically let you turn it in. It will then give you the quest "Circle the Wagons...Er Boats" where your water sprayer is taken away and replaced with a fire bomb.....use the fire bomb to target the floating boats in the water once this quest is complete eject yourself from the vehicle and it will put you back on the main boat. Return to Jinky Twixxlefixxit who is on the top floor of the barge at 76:73

I did this quest yesterday. It did work, but it took me a very long time, because most fires didn't go out when I threw water on them. I just kept circling around and throwing water, and eventually, I got it. I wish I'd recorded how long it took me, but I think it must have been at least half an hour.

I too was having the problem about not being able to control the boat and not change being able to change the view.
To solve this problem I went to the Interface and changed the camera following style settings to 'Never adjust Camera'.
This allowed me to change the viewing angle and keep it in place. Then just keep circling and firing until 15 fires are out - you need to be v. accurate or they won't go out btw.

Just did this quest....I noticed the fires on the deck didn't go out when I sprayed them. However, aiming the water at the fires on the buildings worked almost every time. Hope this helps.

the camera stays fixed straight ahead,always. you will not be able to put out fires unless they are straight ahead of you. so as the boat drives in a circle around the barge, since blizzard gives you no way to turn the boat towards the barge, the fires will NEVER be in front of you. this quest is unable to be completed thanks to the asshats at blizzard.

I completed this quest with no problems. However, fires counted as put out were only on buildings. Using the camera angles made the quest a little easier as you went around the barge shooting your water cannon. Once you get the hang of it it is actually pretty easy.

If ur having problems finding that NPC for the boat (like i had), just type /target Mazzer Stripscrew. After u have targeted him, right click on the portrait - Raid target icon - mark skull. Hope it helps :)

I've finally figured out how to change my configuration so the camera will face the boat which is on fire. Go into Config Menu, select Interface, select Camera. In the drop-down box titled 'Camera following style', you must select 'Only When Moving'. I've always played the game using 'Always Adjust Camera' but I had to change temporarily for this quest.

Really, this temporary change to camera following style is something Blizzard should hardcode into this particular quest. I mean, do you think it is really their intention to make you change your game settings to complete a quest? It is either a bug or just poor design. I had given up on this quest for the longest time because I could not hold the camera with my mouse to face the burning ship AND put out fires at the same time. lol.

Firing at the windows I found most effective - but this still is a hard and nasty quest.

A really annoying quest; maddeningly difficult due to the fact that aiming water onto most of the fires does nothing!
Some people have found that aiming at the fires in the buildings is a more productive tactic, but I found that any fire near the edge of any structure can easily be extinguished by aiming the water jet not directly onto the fire, but directly onto the timbers along the outer edge of the structure where the fire is.
Once I discovered that it was a piece of cake!

n.b. riinuka's post lower down makes the same point with rather less superfluous verbosity and rather more clarity... Aim for the outside edges, that's the trick!

Took about 10 minutes, after I realized something.

The fires along the ship's main deck, on the edge, are easiest. Just aim UNDER them at the side of the boat. Basically, the wide jutting piece of 'edge' that surrounds it, on that.

The platform/boat to start this is to the south east, off the starboard side of the main ship.

I had no real trouble putting out the fires; I reckon about 60% of the shots I aimed at worked. I tried to aim at the base of the fires.
