- Beware on Diemetradon test, killing some of the NPC's (Krakle for example) will decrease your Steamwheedle reputation.

- Otherwise it is not a phased event so players have to wait Marshal's camp to be respawn to interact with them further.

- Vehicle frame is also bugged and does not show up at least for me, but you can guesstimate easily the order of the buttons of the invisible vehicle action bar.

You don't have to kill any NPCs on the Diemetradon test. Just bite five of them and it's done.

In addition to the gorillas for the quest, as a hunter I could also speak with my gorilla pet.

Hey, did you hear the one about the orc hunter? OK, here goes:

A orc hunter walks into a cave and starts fighting gorillas. The leader of the gorillas says, "Hey, why are you doing that?" So then the orc hunter says, "A goblin told me to."

The gorilla leader says, "Do you do everything that goblins tell you to do?" And the orc hunter says, "Yes, because I'm stupid and smelly and I walk on two legs."

Pretty funny, huh? Hmm... maybe it needs some work...

Also note, the flying pterodon observation is simply to fly straight up, very simple.

Note that while doing the gorilla section, you are considered hostile to members of your own faction. Yes, I was ganked... by a member of my own guild no less while doing it.

Believe it or not, there's a Chrono Trigger reference in this quest.

During the Gorilla Observation part, when you speak to an Un'Goro Thunderer he states "Thunder stuns all dinosaurs, you know."
In Chrono Trigger, a random caveman in 65,000,000 BC states the exact same quote (but with worse grammar), and sure enough thunder spells in that game stunned dinosaurs and removed their defenses.

There are 4 levers behind her to do each of the 4 observations.

during the diemetradon test, my weapons were viewable on the front claws.

and you can no longer interact with the levers after turning in the quest.

in case anyone is wondering what the white rare gorilla would say, he says absolutely nothing, you can't even talk to him, although he is friendly to you while in that gorilla form.

Ok here is a trick I figured out if you are having issues with your vehicle bar
not showing up like I am make these macros.

For the Dimetradon Observation make two macros

For the Bite use this one: /click BonusActionButton2
For the Bony Armor use this one: /click BonusActionButton3

For the Pterrodax speed increase us this macro
/click BonusActionButton2

For the Blood petal Observation again use this macro
/click BonusActionButton2

now when you click the macros that you just made it is the same as
clicking on the vehicle bar. This works this is how i did this quest.

Hope this helps everyone out that is missing their vehicle bar
like I was on this quest.

I don't get the Diemetradon test at all. It keeps telling me I failed. Just go around the stand and bite 5 humanoids, right? Any tips?

As a warlock I had my pet available while I was in the different forms. During the gorilla test a horde hunter came into the cave to do some mining, as he started to slay my kin that he pulled on the way in I yelled "Gorillas Attack!" and clobbered him to death with my new friends while he tried to mine a thorium vein.

This is by far one of the best quests ive done since i could gank allies with the Diemetradon test with that form, all the afk un'goro allys were dead after 10 mins

I dont know if it was a bug of the game or what... but while i was trying to do "Pterrodax Observation" i killed a Bloodpetal and got credit for the Bloodpetal observation. Anyone else that happend that too...

Beware on Diemetradon test, killing some of the NPC's (Krakle for example) will decrease your Steamwheedle reputation.

As of 4.06 this no longer appears to be true. Most of the NPCs at Marshal's Stand now belong to a group called Marshal Expeditions. I ended up killing two goblin questgivers, Quixxil and Spraggle Frock, during the diemetradon observation and I am still capped at 999/1000 Exalted with all four Steamwheedle Cartel factions.

That aside, the quest is indeed not phased and killing NPCs at Marshal's Stand will make them unavailable for everybody else in Un'Goro Crater for a few minutes until they respawn.

I don't have any idea how to do Diemetradon Observation, can somebody please help me with that.

Bloodpetal "-Only defeat another Bloodpetal with the new ability's you get to do that quest
Gorilla "-Talk to each type Gorilla...I couldn't see the difference so I talk to everyone until I was done :P
Pterrodax "- It is easy enough to understand..fly up, while pressing "2" every time the cooldown is over. Fly up, up and up

A-ME's speech is noted above. The white rare spawn gorilla has no speech. U'cha, the red gorilla, does.
Please note my character is a night elf druid, so you'd get your own race/class combo.

If for example after Diemetradon Observation you suddendly dont see the other levers behind her, just simply run out of the cave and run back, they will reappear.

Dimetradon was a nightmare. The first three times, I followed the quest and comments exactly. Nothing happened. (All the others worked fine.) The fourth time I tried biting each NPC a certain amount of times. Niente. I knew it was bugged because "Bony armor" had exactly zero effect at all and my Dimetradon got stomped pretty quickly.

The sixth time it worked and I have no idea why. At that point I was just being stubborn and seconds away from an aggrieved chat with a GM. Just a warning - be prepared for some annoyance and frustration.

For the Dimetradon test, Keep your armor on, go up to one NPC, bite it, go to the next one, bite it. etc. I was getting confused because I thought it would tell me "Dimetradon bite 1/5" or something like that like a quest does, but after you bite the 5th NPC It tells you that it is finished. Just thought i'd throw that out there.

I had a bug during Diemetradon test where the Bite and Bony Armor icons did not appear at the bottom. In order to bite, press "2" on your keyboard, just bite 5 of them and it will be completed. You have to be close to an NPC to bite. Press "3" to get armor.

This may help on the Diemetradon part of this.
For many people the action for "Bite" and "Bony Armor" didn't show up on your bar. If you press "2" on your keyboard it will use "Bite" and "3" for "Bony Armor".
Also, you don't have to defeat the target, just bite it.
Let me know if this helped!

P.S. Using "2" also works for Speedy Flight :)

During the "Gorilla" segment, all the Stompers disappeared... even when I came back as a person, no stompers... good thing I got the 2 stomper hides earlier I guess.

As someone already mentioned use 2 and 3 to get your bite and bone armour powers (mine didnt show up either).
Also for me you didnt need to bite different humanoids. I attacked a goblin with a name beginning with N... bite him waited for it to recharge and did it 5 times before he died. An easy way to complete it ..... hope this helps someone.

If you can't do the diemetrodon quest because your action bar is messed up, try disabling all your addons. My wife disabled her addons, logged in again, and the action bar worked just fine.

"Hey, did you hear the one about the (your race/class)? OK, here goes:
