Don't look for a bright yellow "?" on your map. He is a static NPC goblin next to a pile of crates. You engage him through the speech dialogue interface, i.e. right click him, then click through the speech bubble icons.

When you return, do not go back to Marion upstairs in the inn - instead, you had back to the goblin near the entrance to SW bank.

He's at 27, 34 at the SW harbor, he's kinda hard to see. An easy way to see him is by typing /target Snivel.

FEB 2010 - LOVE IS IN THE AIR

This quest line will unlock "Crushing the Crown" quest which is necessary for Dangerous Love achievement (thus Fool For Love meta achievement).

Uncommon Scent (IF) - pick up from Junior Inspector near IF bank then travel to Inspector Snip Snagglebolt at SW bank. Note: this quest can be skipped by going directly to Snip in SW, but seriously this is easy gold .

+ Something Stinks (SW) - use the "Snagglebolt's Air Analyzer" from your inventory on guards in SW. When you target a guard check if they have a purple buff of "Heavily Perfumed". I used analyzer on the 2 guards at the bank and guards by SW entrance.

+ Pilfering Perfume (SW) - you'll be turned into a goblin, quickly run outside of SW and hang a left against wall, you'll automatically pick up a crate then run back to Inspector Snip.

+ Fireworks at the Gilded Rose (SW) - go into SW inn and upstairs, turn in quest.

+ Hot on the Trail (SW) - run over to the SW Barber shop, then SW AH, then SW Bank.

+ A Friendly Chat (SW) - go to the SW harbor and interact with Snivel near the middle dock.

QUESTLINE COMPLETE
You've now unlocked 2 quests.

Crushing the Crown (Crystal Song) - just below Dalaran blow up the wagon, then kill 5 mobs. This is a daily quest so you can get 5 Love Tokens.

Man on the Inside (SFK) - quest to kill holiday boss in SFK.

Not anymore.. now you have to wait for him to show up on the Zepplin Tower above the Vallry of Strength in Og.

As of Patch 4.0.3, Snivel is In Orgrimmar next to the zeppelin tower to The Under City, While the Lunar festival continues he is right next to a Tauren conversing with 2 other Taurens near a small pile of crates. (51.7, 56.7)

As a quick note: If you have the quest "Call of Duty" for the vashj'ir introduction you will be UNABLE to see both snivel as well as any other holiday NPC's / Items in the Harbor. Figured it out the hard way lol.

used "/tar snivel" until it showed up on target .. put a star on it's head. then was easy to find

For Alliance, Snivel is still on the Stormwind docks. I used the /target Snivel suggested above, then put a raid icon on him. Since he's so short, and standing behind boxes and trees that he blends in with, it helped a lot to have something colorful above his head.

this doesnt lead to the same quest as before Cataclysm, apparently, now when you finish the last quest, "A Friendly Chat" he asks you if you want to queue for the Crown Chemical Co. battle.

4.0.3 he is to the left of the entrance of the zep tower. If lunar fest is still under way, he is pretty much under one of the taurens.

Snivel is not going to show up like he does in the auction house, bank, and barber shop. He is standing at one place in the middle of the boat docks somewhere about the third or fourth ramp. He is hidden behind a rocket launcher or whatever the big army carts are for.

You talk to him, press a couple buttons, and then move back to finish the quest in front of the bank. On the map, the little yellow question mark was at the entrance to the docks where the mage quarter was ruined, but that must be something bad with WOW's digits because the question mark too was over the little dude you turn the quest into.

Yeah, he's behind the big tank thing. Thankfully I had a flying mount so I could afford to run around the sky being annoyed at the difficulty in FINDING the dude.

If you don't, I hope you read about it somewhere because there are many out there, WOW players included, that have tempers.

(Alliance) When handing in the Friendly Chat quest, go all the way back to Snip Snagglebolt next to Guilded Rose Tavern. I had a the question mark part way back from the docks and he wasn't there which was very confusing. Must be a bug.

Here is the conversation you have with Snivel Rustrocket at the docks.

Hey, pal, I don't know who you are or why you've been following me around, but I'm about to board a ship and I want to be left alone, got it?

I have a rocket here with your mark on it, Snivel.

<He looks at the rocket and flashes a nervous grin.>

Okay, yeah, so maybe I made a couple rockets for some guys. So what? The good was good and I was paid for my work. It's not like anyone died. That's about as honest as work gets. What's it to you?

There's a chemical inside the rocket. What is it?

Look, I don't know, okay? I don't know!

I just got paid to make rockets that deliver an airborne chemical payload, and that's what I did. Job's done, pal. They're all made, packaged, and sent off. I got the money and I was TRYING to enjoy myself a little when you started chasing me all over town. I don't have any more of that chemical and I don't know what it was.

Where were they delivered?

You expect me to remember all that off the top of my head? Look. They didn't pay me enough to put up with this, and the contract only asked for my silence. So I'm just gonna drop my ledger on the floor here, and you're going to take it and leave me alone.
