Don't make the same mistake I did by going into the lake, searching for the artifacts. They're spread around the lake. My ground clutter visuals were way up, so it was really hard to see them :).

The ruins around Lake Mennar, to our east, have a tale to tell. The lesser races - like those clumsy dwarves - would go after the truth with picks and shovels. <Malynea wrinkles her nose.> We'll be using more elegant methods.

All these cruddy ancient ruins have to be bulldozed if we're ever to see Azshara's full potential.
