You get the pet in the mail after you turn the quest in. It won't show up in your inventory. I kinda freaked out a little bit at first.

So, since we got a companion from doing this, will blizz allow us to "adopt" one of the orphans from the normal Childrens Week?

I was so happy that i got roo as a pet because me and him went to cool places and had fun and i hated that he was leaving after all of it. Now were playing in ironforge everyday :)

As it is in with the Oracles and Frenzyheart you can take care of only one of the 2 Orphans:

If you took care of the Oracle Hatchling you'll get:
Curious Oracle Hatchling

If you took care of the Frenzyheart Pup you'll be getting:
Curious Wolvar Pup

After the last quest that tells you to bring him back to the Orphan Matron near the Dalaran Wishing Well you'll get a mail from your orphan with one of the above Pets attached to it!

Crap, I just did all the quests and played with my oracle orphan but now Orphan Matron Aria NPC is gone. And my whistle has just 4 days left. Anyone know if I'll have to get it next year? I just want the silly pet! :P

I got so sad when I didnt get my roo at the end of the quest, cause I got attached to it, so cute he saying "we" and poor thing getting bullied by Wolvar >:'/ but then I saw the letter at the mail box, so amazingly sweet :') roo I love ya, so cute, now you're my baby <3

this pet has the cutest foot step noise, walk around with it and listen ^^

Once you've done this version of the final quest, subsequent years you get for Biscoito Mágico para Mascote (or Recompensa do Rabugento).
