All of the feathers can be gathered around 33.6, 68.0 from the raptors.

Don't forget to pick up Wanted: Gorclaw the Ravenous because he is in front of the cave there.

Tha raptors are Bloodfen Razormaw's and Bloodfen Lashtail's.
You'll find them around the cave at 32,66 in Dustwallow Marsh.

Coords as listed good. Drop rate for me was around 30%. Easily soloed as 39 Prot Pally

Bloodfen Lashtail's have the best drop rates.

Just according to my own Mobinfo data, Razormaws have a 30% drop rate and lashtails a 13%...but that may be my own bad luck

Don't head straight to the site from Mudsprocket.

If you head west and move northward along the mountainside to the listed coordinates, there are plenty of raptors on the way. An added benefit to this is that there aren't any other monsters to aggro.

Bloodfen Burrow is at 34,66 and home to Bloodfen Lashtail Raptors as well as Goreclaw the Ravenous. It is roughly due west of Mudsprocket if you don't have locs.

The drop rate is horrible on this. You only need five but you have to kill about 5X more than that to get the items.
Not a happy priest today.

Actually i would say drop rate is perfect :) Its good to get some exp while doing the quest to, not only when you turn it in... But I Would say theres to little monsters doe.

I killed bloodfen raptors and got 100% drop rate on the rocky mountain just east of the actual cave. Took me about 3 minutes to do the quest :D

The drop rate sucked, but it's great grinding xp. Also try doing https://www.wowhead.com/cata/quest=11184/deprecated-wanted-goreclaw-the-ravenous a.k.a WANTED: Goreclaw the Ravenous. They are at 32.66

I just did this quest and had good droprate to the left of the little creek/lake near the cave. See map above)Killed eleven raptors to get my 5 feathers. All raptors lvl 38-39. I also had the "Wanted" quest for the big blue raptor so stealthed into the cave area which is crammed with raptors with the big blue at the back near the cave entrance. I just slipped aound to the left along the hillside and back into the area to the side of the cave entrance. Easy root/swarm/moonfire/starfire/finished with cat, took him down pretty fast, grabbed his loot, and stealthed out. If you want extra XP it would be easy to pull some of the raptors along the edges as you go. The big guy didn't bring anyone else to the party. This was a fun quest imho. Oh, lvl 44 Nelf Druid Bal/Feral.

make sure to kill goreclaw while ur doing this quest to save urself the trouble. he is the big raptor in the middle of the bunch of bloodfens

100% drop rate, got feathers at every kill.

Most raptors are alongside the mountains to the west of Mudsprocket, perfect drop rate there.

It's kinda obvious why some have a terrible drop rate and others get what they need in 3 minutes. If I killed the raptors in the area where the name of the burrow came on the screen, I got feathers. If I wandered a bit wide and killed them in "Dragonmurk," I got either nothing or raptor meat. Stay in the area that says "Bloodfen Burrow," and you'll finish the quest quickly.
My problem was I ended up on the sheer rock side of the burrow and couldn't get up to the cave. That's why I'm here, getting the info on how to approach the cave.

Place: Dustwallow Marsh.
Need: 5 x Bloodfen Feathers
Kill: Bloodfen Razormaw and Lashtail = 80% droprate
Found: At The Dragonmurk, straight WEST from Mudsprocket, or at Bloodfen Burrow North/west from Mudsprocket.

I was lvl 38 Priest and hav no problem kill them.

I found a bunch at 34,70 (west and slightly north from Mudsprocket) as well as at the Bloodfen Burrow (just north of there) at 31,68. Got about 50% drop rate for the feathers.
While you're here (31,68), you might want to do WANTED: Goreclaw the Ravenous.

This Quest isnt hard at all i finished the quest in like 5min just east of the cave i got 100% drop rate for these feathers

coreclaw isn't that difficult, juts clear the raptors around him, don't worry aboutthe ones in the caves, I don't think they will be pulled. did it as a level 40 druid

When you leave the camp, turn west and keep to the cliff toward 34, 67. Many Bloodfen Lashtails along the way. Before you hit the Burrow, you probably have enough feathers to turn in. However, do pick up another wanted quest ; he is in the middle of the Burrow, level 38.

Have fun in this new area.

I'm a lvl 37 Shadow Priest, this is easily soloable.

Coords and advice are right on. I don't know if the name has been changed, but the companion quest is Wanted: Goreclaw the Ravenous.

Are you startled by Brogg's presence here, little <race>? Don't worry. Goblins at Mudsprocket are Brogg's friends and you can be, too.

Brogg left Brackenwall Village when new overlord not take revenge against black dragonkin for destroying old home and killing many of Brogg's old friends. Brogg come here to lay friends spirits to rest and avenge them, but Brogg need help preparing. For ritual, Brogg need feathers with strong magic, like ones worn by raptors at Bloodfen Burrow to the west of town.
