Simply kill the Grimtotem Elders at Blackhoof Village (42.3, 12.8) and they each drop a note. Gather 3 notes and they create the Grimtotem Battle Plans.

*The Grimtotem Elders are easy to see because they have a glowing staff.

You need to kill Grimtotem Elder in order to get the notes you will need.

Collect 4 Grimtotem notes that they drop. VERY high drop rate
Combine the 4 notes to create the one Grimtotem Battleplan to complete quest

The easy way, if you're solo/lazy:

1. Dispatch the guards at the camp entrance, move into the hilly area on the right (watch for spiders).

2. Work your way to the back of the camp, skirting the middle and all the wandering mobs.

3. When you reach the large tent at the back of the camp, approach it from behind. There is one guard stationed there, who is easily dealt with.

4. Enter the large tent. You will find 2 Grimtotem Elders and a shaman. The Elders will attack you, but the shaman won't. Once the Elders are dead, kill the shaman.

(At this point, if you're lucky with the drop rate, you're 1/2 way there)

5. Now, just wait in the tent. The Elders will re-spawn at a pretty quick rate, and no one from outside will come in to bother you. You'll be done in no time, and you can exit the camp the same way you came in.

I have done this quest before and the notes drop rate was good. I have been there killing for almost an hour now and not the first note. Has this been changed? If not they need to fix the drop rate on this because it is broken.

got 4 after killed 4 elders, realy easy should'n't be any problem at all.

This is yet another quest in the Blackhoof Village. The village is located at 41,12, to the right of North Point tower. Just follow the path through the marsh, and you'll find it.

For this one, you have to collect 4 Grimtotem Notes. I had the best luck killing the Elders for the notes. Once you get all 4, you have to right click on them in your bag. Together, they'll form the Battle Plan you need for the quest. Then, just go back to to Captain Darill at 46,24.

Is there a prerequisite for this quest? Because I saw someone with it, and they told me it came from Captain Darill, but I'm at that guy's same level and there is no exclamation point above Darill's head.. he has no quest to offer me. So I think I must have missed something. If someone could please reply, that would be great.

ye, only elders drop them, and 100% drop rate!
about the "cant get quest", i could get it after completing the other "blackhoof" quest's that u get from north point tower

All you have to do is goto the Blackhoof Village(around 43,12)and kill the Elders, Guarenteed note drop. Combine the four notes and you got the battle plans. You might wanna pick up the quest "Raptor Captor", The raptors are just outside the village and Arms of the Grimtotems.

Yeh its easy just kill the elders and u get 4 of them: Use all and u got it :D i did 4 quest at once in there now i go complete em nice exp i think :D

IT is true.. go to the right of the north point tower and there will be a road..folo it but make sure u have the other quest also u will get it done here to . it is called -Arms of the Grimtotems-and .
and yes.. all the elders have the scrips then get 4 and make a plan out of it

Not quite a 100% drop rate for the elders and the pages. I had to kill 5 elders to get the four pages. In between, I killed about twice as many of the others and they never dropped the pages for me.

Bliz may have changed this quest, I'm on it and it is NOT 100% drop. I've killed about 4 elders and haven't got a drop yet, but I imagine it will come in time.

Ok...so once you get this quest...as you know...go to the Blackhoof Village

After you have arrived....get the battle plan

BUT!.....in order to get the battle plan you need to get partial notes from the elders...

get,combine,and you got the b. plan:)

I got 4 notes but can't seem to get the battle plan. The elders are not dropping them. I spent a good 10-15mins there and no battle plan. I killed from one end of the village to the other.

Yeah... lots of quests in the Blackhoof Village
Coords confirmed, 42,12

For this one, you have to collect 4 Grimtotem Notes (Got all mine from the Elders)
Once you get them all, right click on the notes in your bag and it'll create the Battle Plan needed

Return to Captain Darill at 46,24 and voila!

Got 3900xp at lvl.43 (quest was a breeze.)

Prisoners of the Grimtotems

It's actually really easy if you do it the right way:

I started out just collecting the first 3 armaments, sneaking and punching my way to them, no big deal. While doing this, i made sure to loot every corpse, so that i would get as many keys to release the prisoners as possible. This is done by killing the Breakers (gave me the best drop ratio). As i moved further into the village, i made sure to pull only 1 mob at a time, to not draw too much attention. I went for the Elders and Breakers only, not those Shape-Shifters (when having killed these, 2 wolves will show, but only with very limited HP, about 50 maybe). The Elders drop the "Battle Note"s, which you will need to do the Confirming the Suspicion quest. 4 of these are required, and you can then create the Battle Plan needed.

Release the prisoners as you move further into the village, with the windmill as your goal.
The prisoners in the cages respawn fairly quickly, so you dont have to run to all the cages in the village to release the prisoners, just do the same ones a couple of times until you have released 5.

Now having collected the Armaments (which also respawns quickly), the Battle Plan
and having released the prisoners, all that is left is the raptors.

Spend a little while checking out the Breakers' routes, as this is important for you not to be noticed, planting the raptorbait. Move up on the south/souteastern side of the windmill, so it lines up in the middle of the two Elders at it. Move forwad one step at a time, until you can plant the bait. Do it carefully, as you might pull the two elders doing so.

When you are near enough, plant the bait, the raptors will come running, attacking the Grimtotems, and giving you some sort of cover going out.

Done easily with a 37 Retri pally

XP:

Arms of the grimtotems - 3900 XP

Unleash the raptors - 3700 XP

Prisoners of the Grimtotems - 3700 XP

Total: 15,200 XP - Not too bad, I must say.

Descrição

The Grimtotems may be the most warlike of all the tauren clans, but they're by no means unorganized. If they're the ones who put the torch to the Shady Rest Inn, they'll have had orders from one of their clan elders.

There's a large Grimtotem settlement called Blackhoof Village to the northwest. They've been using it as a base to attack the tower, but I'll bet that you'll find the orders you're looking for there. Check the village's elders for traces of the orders you seek.
