The strength makes this seem more for a melee class, but the +20 stamina would make it nice for a warlock. Remember, Life Tap makes stamina one of a warlock's primary stats.

Best feral druid tanking/twinking 2hander for level 39 bracket, if you can get your hands on that. You won't find a weapon with more stamina from anywhere at this time.

Its 20 Stamina and 8 strength give it a great Druid and Warlock Staff...Its wonderful for a druid becuase so much STR and an incredible amount of STAM is great for a bear-formed feral druid...However its great for a Warlock because of its STAM

For Ferals, this is only a very small upgrade over Viscous Hammer, a Lv 30 blue. The next best DPS weapon would be Blanchard's Stout.

I have a question regarding weapon for Feral Druids. Which is better? The Rockpounder or the Ironshod Bludgeon

Or is it situational? Like mace for tanking bear and staff for dps cat?

Got this tonight on my 35 druid with my GF running me with her 70 hunter. Nice staff, even better with +35 Agi on it. :) I dinged 36 when I turned the quest to summon Ironaya in.

You can farm Ironaya for this as long as you don't turn the quest to summon her in. You can pick the quest items up as many times as you reset the instance WITHOUT turning the quest in.

Got this on my third attempt. She dropped the cloth legs the first two times.

Just looking at this staff in terms of looks and the fact it has agility on it, this could be the model for Agility staff heirloom in MoP. The appeal for melee combat is that it has a heavy end, which is good for blunt trauma, and length to build speed in a swing. Fitting for a monk's finisher. That looped end is also similar to the Pandaren starting zone staff (has a loop like the outline of three circles overlapping). Add a qualifier before the name like "Reinforced" and you have an heirloom.

It's that or Vara de Treinamento do Lobato which would fit since its an SM drop (and they're redoing SM) and the Scarlet Crusade has monks.

My humble conjecture for your amusement.

Good weapon for any class that can wield it really. Although i would think it's more suited for a Feral spec'd Druid.

I think one could easily make a case for this being a good warrior staff. You might say 'its a staff. warriors dont use staffs'. I would answer that by pointing to its +strength and stamina and, come on, what warrior doesnt like beating on people with a big stick?

welll I needed htis on my warrior adn so did a 36 priest. he rolled 30 and I rolled a 54. then he got really mad at me and wanted to kill me. then I told people about this adn they said I am a noob do u all agree. I mean wat priest needs strength

Indeed this staff is quite good for warriors, and feral droods too. And shammies(sort of)... other words any class that does melee dps. Fine for lock too, but no int bonus... nah, I'd pass it.
BUT it is one big mistake to tell, that this staff is good for tanking warrior... I mean only newb warrior tanks with two-hander ffs...

Yeah, boyfriend ran me through Ulda. I didn't know this staff was there, but I was sure happy when it dropped. :] Being a feral druid, there aren't a lot of good weapons until higher levels so this made me very happy. Dropped off the giant dwarf-looking lady after completing the rod & keystone things.

I am after this on my Druid. If it drops and I lose on a roll against a Warlock it isn't fair. Warlock's should never get this over a Feral Druid. They don't use the Strength like Druids do.

If we are going to degrade the comments for this into a best class contest then here; I have listed them in order of usefulness with the top being most useful and the bottom classes can't even use staves:

Druid: You can the str and the sta and the 200hp can still be handy even after other classes are looking at higher DPS weapons (since weapon DPS is irrelevant in feral forms.)

Shaman: Decent weapon if you didn't go enhancement and still want to beat on stuff. Like a druid you can use both str and sta.

Warlock: Although there are better warlock weapons out there with more useful stats like int or spirit, this isn't a bad choice.

Warrior: if you have no better 2h weapons then this will look tempting but you should pass because there are loads of better DPS/stat 2hers that casters CAN'T use further into Uldaman so be patient. If you can't get your group further into the instance then you don't deserve any drops from Uldaman, go back and learn to tank!

Mage/Priest: There are better caster staves with more useful stats like int or spirit. You need str like you need a hole in your head and if you think you need stamina then what you really need is a good lesson in aggro management.

Hunter: Stamina should be right below bat guano for things you want to hold in your hand, go find some agi weapons to hold so you do more range damage.

Paladin/Rogue: you guys can't use staves so don't even bother asking.

Don't reccomend +spirit stuff to a warlock, or some noobs might really go getting +spirit items.
Warlock have worst spirit contribution, so don't even bother with it. Get +int and +stam. Int allows to cast more spells before lifetapping, Stam allows more lifetapping. That's all

I don't really understand why a tankwarrior or a hunter would need this? ok, its good stamina and strength, but... it's still not a curtainly good staff for PvE at all because: warriors (tank/dps doesn't matter) it's good dps, but you will find better weapons for your class further in the instace anyway, for tanks, use shield and 1h instead.
Hunters need agi for their ranged weapondamage, so sta and str is not so needed by you guys.
Dunno what you're thinking, but this is one of the first tanking staves for the feral droods out there... thanks for the word!

So i have a feral druid twink, im looking through thottbot and I see this badboy. I decide to get someone to run me through Ulda to try to get it.

Do you think a lvl 40 druid and a lvl 48-51 warrior could make it far enough to Ironaya and then take her down? I have a warrior who wants to help me fight her hes lvling up right now, too bad theres not a better staff i can find... The drop % on this is bit low.... i'd hate to run this place 5+ times and not have the staff.

OK listen up u noobs
this is a feral drood staff first and foremost, shammys get it 2nd if there melee oreintanted shammys,if a war decides he wants this he should be booted from the group iemideitly beacuse there it a $%^&LOAD of better weps out there for him (mace from last boss) (Grimlocks Charge is pretty good imo) and if he thinks this its a good tanking wep just let him die on the next battle and then boot him he deserves it for being such a noob. Locks should get 3rd cause of all the stam it has and i know ur gona say "o it has strength locks dont need strength u dip $%^&" i dont care thats 200 hp there giveing up if im correct thats about 1 life tap at that level (not sure). Then comes warriors if there no1 else in group who can use(feral droods,shammmys if melee oriananted, and then locks for stam) a war may use it (not for tanking) and then it goes to the enchanters last to DE and u all roll for the shard other calasses have almost nothing to gain from this staff unless ur a PvP mage or preist and u want the stam and ur gona put a spell dmg on it or a intell chant.

This is a nice staff for a warrior and feral druid...Let me tell you why no caster class should need this! Number 1 it has Str and no caster class needs strength its like a warrior needing something with int on it! As for a stam lock you could find better go run SM and get the illusionary rod which BLOWS THIS STAFF OUT OF THE WATER...thats about it for now lol

It is made for druids, this is the best druid weapon at this level. 20 stam and 8 str is 24 stam and 10 str for feral.

Rolled against a priest for this (I won - I am a feral druid) and he got pissed saying I should be using a one hand mace and a good off-hand. Some people....FOLKS THIS IS BASICALLY BUILT FOR THE FERAL DRUID...everyone else should only consider it if they have complete crap for a weapon.

Omg! That last patch was very gay. They debuffed robes of the lich to 13 stamina and now this! WTF! I guess I'll stick with my Illusionary Rod, I really needed some stamina for my demon lock.

Really nice for a 2H-Warrior now. 20 str makes about +3 DPS. The fast speed makes it crit and flurry more often.

I have been running this 5 times a day for the last 5 days trying to get this staff for my 39 twink druid to no avail as of yet. It's getting ridiculous. The drop rate is extremely low or I am just unlucky maybe. I am risking leveling with the amount of times i have tried to get this. :(

You do not need a full party for this. 48 prot warrior, 45 rogue, 44 druid (feral but doing the healing anyway), got through and beat Ironya with no problem.

Would yall find this to be the BEST* feral spec'd druid 39 twink wep? the 20 strength rocks... add +35 agility and you would pwn... or would you rather one of the Green +12/stam and 12 agility be best? gained alot more stam add dodge crit and ap....

So this drops, andthe priest needs for the "8 stam" and the hunter needs even tho hunters shouldnt be meleeing. I lost to the priest.WTF

got the drop my 9. time in there... was really happy to see it. 20min run every time to get to it. 20x9= 180min = 3 hours grinding for it.. :)
