This item, despite the ease with which players can obtain it over some time, is somewhat underwhelming compared to the initial reports.

Ashkandi, Montante da Irmandade Recuperada and Zin'rokh, a Destruidora de Mundos both have more top end damage and a slower speed, which is more desirable for certain 2-hand DPS classes (Retribution Paladins for one). The overall difference in stats is a shuffle of a few points here and there, most people who prefer slow 2-hand weapons will not give up a 3.8 speed sword with higher top-end for the extra 20 STR and a shuffling of secondary stats.

I was really hoping to see a mainstream 2h melee weapon that would create a baseline for all people to work with in Firelands. Instead, I guess I'll go grind more troll digs and do BWD each week praying I'll get lucky.

Edit to add:

The in-game link shows this weapon as having a 2003-3006 damage range on a 3.8 speed, so it appears there's a chance this item is still worthwhile.

All that work to get this unlocked.. and they've recycled the same Sailor Moon crystal sword graphic again? How unfortunate.

Nice weapon, best for Death Knights. Warriors will like this but I rather save my gold and try raiding, with the recent nerf warriors can probably get a better weapon. Since crit is our number one stat and then mastery, so that haste is pretty junk.

And IMO...worst model. nothing great about it at all when it comes to looks.

In my opinion this weapon is greatly overpriced in AH.

This cost around 8k to make (depending on your servers AH prices and if the BS is a fair trader).

Vero-ouro 575 * 8 = 4600
Safira Oceânica 5 * 2 = 10
Barra de Elemêntio Temperado 68 * 4 = 272
Orbe do Caos ~500 * 5 = 2500 (ranges from about 200 - 700g each)

This comes to a total of 7,382 gold. A more fair price, but on AH i see this weapon for about 15 - 18k..
Ok its a new weapon, and some cant make it yet.. but seriously.. overpriced.

The prices comes from Hellfire server, if you are lucky, you might get it even cheaper...

It is worth mentioning that this sword is one of the top end swords for frost DKs that choose to go the 2h route. Haste and Mastery are the two most desirable secondary stats (assuming hit + expertise capped) for a frost DK.

Runeforging with Runa do Cruzado Caído and using Presença Profana will get the most out of this 2h. It is also relatively cheap if you gather the mats and pay a BS to craft it instead of purchasing one on the AH (as stated previously).

edit - this is quite out of date as of patch 4.3, but still a good example for preferred 2h swords for Frost DKs. Nice and slow, with mastery and haste on 'em. Beautiful.
