This Mob patrols around the 'Hall of The Serpents' section found in The Temple of Atal'Hakkar, (Sunken Temple).
Killed him today and dropped those Lovely boots :P

These mobs were changed to level 49 in patch 2.3 -- they come with rank 3 of Dive when tamed, but are not high enough level to match the requirement and will lose the skill upon zoning or logging.

He may have been removed when they shrunk Sunken Temple in cata... I've run this dungeon many times since then and he has never appeared. Good thing I had him on my hunter already.

I have been through the temple 5 times now and i cant seem to locate this mob.. Does anyone know where he is?

Very good stats for a druid and yet it's even soloable mob for feral atleast. Not easy, but totally doable. There's an ooze patrolling spawn of hakkari's route and therefore you must choose exactly right time to strike. Tried it 9 times and succeeded 2 times.

You can find it by taking second path from right at the start of the instance and following stairs down. Turn right and pass some snakes and then you're on his patrol route.

just tamed this with my 55 hunter. its not to bad as long as you remember to feint at 1/4 your health bar and not right before you die. good luck :)

Just tamed him on my 49 Hunter, was very simple. Just toss down a freezing trap & start taming. Pulled it off without losing any HP.

I recently tamed this beauty solo, comes with lightning breath (rank5) and dive 3. To get to this windserpent solo, just kill the trash outside the instance, this should be easy, and then when u zone in, take the path in the middle right. Continue along this path, and soon u should encounter one set of stairs going up and 1 going down. Take the 1 going down. Now you will reach a circular "track". Spawn of Hakkar patrols this area, so be patient and look around the entire track for it.

Use Aspect of the Monkey and Feign Death well....by running and feigning u can get through the trash b4 Spawn of Hakkar easily.

im lvl 55 now, am i able to get to the spawn of hakkar solo? really want him, humar the pridelord and king bangledesh is getting really boring, never got a wind serpent before, pls reply asap

Keep in mind that if you're attempting to tame him at level 49, he will lose Dive rank 3 as soon as you resummon him or zone out. I wasn't able to learn the skill while in the zone either. I thought it might be useful for 40s bracket in BGs, but I was mistaken and found out the hard way.

(yes he is solo-tameable at 49. Just be careful like the gold posts say.)

This serpent in lvl 50 - 51, a 49 can't tame this.

can anyone who has tamed this mob tell me if it has normal stats, or if it has the weaker, 'caster' stats? I -love- the pure red wind serpents but Azzere the Skyblade is 'fragile', and I think the Spawn of Hakkar is the only other mob with the pure red skin.

This little beauty spawned while my group was helping my Tank Druid do her Class Quest, the place where you have to activate all the snake statues in a certain order to make the boss spawn in the pool below.
Dropped the boots for me, everyone passed so I could have them, even slapped a +5 STA enchant on 'em for free for me. I love 'em!

All Wind Serpents have an attack speed of 2.0, now.

He comes with Dive 3 and Lightning Breath 5. We tamed him because wind serpents are the only pets with a ranged ability, which comes in handy with 1.9's proposed pet speed/attack nerf.

I have been to this place many times and i don't remember ever seeing a mob by the name of "Spawn of Hakkar" where is he, i might like to go check it out?

There is another spawn where you can tame him. His patrol goes around the circular part of the temple where the snake statues are.

His special ability is Dive: 80% Faster Movement for 15 seconds.

For hunters wanting to tame:

No, it does NOT have caster stats. It comes with Dive 3 and Lightning Breath 5.

My base stats after taming it:

Str 115
Agi 84
Sta 212
Spir 64
Power 305
DPS w/ Cobra Reflexes and Loyalty Level 4: 83.6 <-- will still increase tho
Armor 3089, Started at 4706 without Nat Armor or Sta increases though.

Taught him growl 6 straight away, learned the dive 3 & LB really quickly, LL's increased quickly too (for me at least).

Very handsome pet, and so far, I'm loving him. Tossed down a freezing trap, and he still managed to bring me to half-health while taming him. Totally worth all the effort though :D (Ran 3 times to get him. People kept killing him >.>)

I was able to tame him at 51, Did all the steps listed above, only difference I would say I did to make it slighly easier for me.

I laid down a freezing trap and when he was in range I hit him with a concussive shot and started taming, this gave me a few more seconds before he hit the trap, and after he breaks out of the trap, he starts to cast something which gives you even more time, he should only hit you about 2-3 times before you tame him.
