Easily tamed in the immediate surroundings of Valiance Keep. Very nice pet, but I give a word of caution - The Rhino ability "Stampede" can and will pull adds if running an instance, as it tends to send an enemy flying backwards, and follows it. I recommend turning it off, or taking a different pet. That said, the Rhino makes a wonderful grinding/solo play tanking pet.

I have been receiving a massive amount of Rhino Meat from the packs of Rhinos in the Borean Tundra. More specifically, around 43,74 to 48,72... just west of Valiance Keep. Those are just rough estimates to give you a good picture of where I have been killing them.

These travel in packs of about 5. These packs consist of Wooly Rhino Matriarchs and Wooly Rhino Calves. They are not hostile, and only do close range attacks, making AoE easy.

The Wooly Rhino Bulls Bulls, however, are hostile and tend to be a bit more stronger.

As a level 73 frost mage with Improved Blizzard (and the other "slowing" talents, making my Blizzard slow by 85%), I can AoE at least 3 packs of these down at once, resulting in tons of Rhino Meat (I am a Cook). At one point there was a Skinner behind me skinning all of the corpses, so this is a great idea if you want to level skinning.

It is very good experience, especially if rested, and it gives you tons of meat and many skins if you are a Skinner.

I received about 100 Rhino Meat, about two bags full of vender trash (about 40 gold, after selling it), one BoE green, and one BoE blue in an hour of non-stop AoE killing.

These guys are a skinners dream. As a lvl 69 affliction warlock, I've just been running around doting up packs of these and skinning them for the occasional (but very rare) arctic fur. Fantastic money source :D

Edit point: Also, just to point out, within an hour of hunting these guys, I made about 20-30 gold at least on vendor junk, 1-2 green equip, about 100 borean leather from adding up all the leather scraps, over 100 rhino meat (which sells for decent on my server at around 30-40silver per), and 7 arctic furs which, even when I undercut the competition, I made over 300g off of in the AH and it was sold within a few hours. Total profit from an hour hunting these mobs = around 400g+ at lvl 69

Just as a heads up to folks looking to tame this little guy, I headed out at 66 to find one and all of them were 67. I even farmed them a bit for a while in an attempt to get a 66 to spawn, with no luck. So the level range may be a little incorrect. Happy hunting.

I farmed leather on these . dropped 1.5 stacks of chilled meat , skinned 4 stacks of borean leather , 4 artic furs (talk about luck !) and not a single fur/blue dropped. wierd.

Anyone seen any of these at the lowest level listed of 62?

I know a couple of people have stated that they went to tame a low level one and only saw 67-68's, but that was 8 months ago.

The packs of these in the Borean Tundra are amazing for farming Rhino Meat, Chilled Meat and Borean Leather. I found that as a feral tank, it's absolutely amazing to pull as many of these as you can. Utilizing Demoralizing Roar to keep the mobs from resetting, and not killing them as you aggro, I was able to pull 50+ of them at a time and barely live. Using Frenzied Regeneration as soon as I reached about 66% health to bring me back to full health. Also used Barkskin when I hit about 90% health after the first pull to ensure I can pop it again when the CD runs out. Takes about 4-5 minutes to gather and kill all 50+ of them at a time.

I did this twice, and then realized I should have my alt, with skinning, be waiting in the skies above. After killing over 100+ of them...

56 Rhino Meat
13 Chilled Meat
1 BoE Green
and 26g worth of vendor trash.

Took about ten minutes and change to round them up, kill them, and loot.

Edit: Second run, this time with my skinner logged off in the air above the kill zone...

8 Borean Leather
5 Chilled Meat
31 Rhino Meat
1 Khorium Lockbox
and 9g worth of vendor trash.

The first time I did the pulls with 50+ mobs at a time, I was in a mix of iLvl 200, 219, 226, 232 and 5 pieces of 245 gear (two rings, head, shoulders and bracers). All of which came from heroic dungeons and Triumph Emblems. I don't raid at all. I found it to be BARELY livable with that gear to pull 50+ of these mobs. I then read into Lifeward as a weapon enchant. I HIGHLY recommend this enchant to feral druids looking to farm lower level content. The second time I came here, I was able to pull 59 of them SAFELY, and I never went below 98% health. I didn't have to use any cooldowns at all. When swiping 59 targets, Lifeward procs so much that it will heal you up if you're hurt, or keep you maxed with these mobs.
