this guy has some annoying abilites:

quite often he summons small plants, they die easily but are still annoying for healers.

and every 30-60 sec or something, he casts Tranquility. while summoning 3 or 4 bigger plant adds (non elite!) they dont much hp, but tranquility heals both them, and him! so kill the spawns ASAP, then he stops healing and you can keep dpsing (he gets immune to everything, removes all debuffs too, while channeling)

Special Abilities

Plant “Color” Seedling – Summons a Seedling every 5-10 seconds that can cast a debuff.

Tree of Life – Every 30-40 seconds High Botanist Freywinn will transform into a Tree of Life and channel a Tranquility that can not be interrupted and heals for 964 health a second to him and his Frayers. He will also summon 3 Frayer Protectors.

Frayer Protector – Frayer Protectors can use “Shoot Thorns” which is a ranged attack and hits for about 1200 nature damage.

Strategy

He spawns a seedling, which has around 1500 health, every 10 second that need to be killed quickly. They have debuffs. Every 30 secs or so he'll transforms into the Tree of Life Form and starts casting an uninterruptable tranquility. At this time he also spawns 3 lashers, which have a dot bolt and must be killed in order to prevent his tranquility, which heals him around 1% per second. The best way to do this is to keep them out of line of sight of his healing. (just keep the tank at a good spot)

If you've got a warlock in the group, grab one of the Nethervine Inciters in the next area. They hit for 1k+ and have 90k hit point. If you get one with the buff on it, the boss goes down within 1-2 casts of tranquility. You should probably let it tank and die during the fight, though. It could wipe your group if it gets loose during the fight.

We tanked him at the edge fo the bridge, and everytime he went tree form 2 mages ran up and Arcane Explosioned them down. Very easy.

If you happen to have a rogue, wound poison dramatically slows down the rate at which he heals when in tree form. Stacking it maximum) will help to shorten this fight.

Mortal Strike works great on this boss also, just try to time it before he turns into a tree so it will stay on him.

For heroic, the boss is hardly changed, except he heals more (took us about 6 tranquilities to kill him, and our dps was good) during tranquility. Need to be very on the ball in order to kill adds before he heals back all the damage you caused. We were doing 30-35% and then having 10% of that healed back.

First thing, not all debuffs disappear when he turns Immune. Whoever said that is wrong. You can still inflict things like Mortal Strike on him even when he is Immune, even though he takes no damage.

Secondly, the easiest way to beat him is to tank him in the middle of the 2 crystal pillars. DPS should kill the seedlings whenver they spawn. When he turns immune, everyone should get out of line of sight, so as to lure the spawns away from the range of tranquility.
During this time, the main tank can keep mortal strike on him so he heals pretty much nothing.
Getting out of range of sight should only take 3 steps and should be done in 3 seconds.
Hard to explain where to stand for the dpser when it is not in game but find your spot.

Not tough at all if done properly.

Group = 70 Paladin, Hunter, Mage, Warlock, Shaman

I, prot pally, tanked and the Shaman healed.

His tranquility is the real problem and the only hard thing about him. He turns into a treant and casts an uninterpretable Tranquility which also summons 3 treants. These treants heal him so as the tank you must bring them out of line of sight.

The strategy we used was to bring him to the bottom of the ramp on the left side, where you are coming in from. There when he casts tranquility lead the mobs to the other side of the wall where your dps should kill them in a few seconds. After they are dead the boss is back in action with some healed %. But trust me with a good dps, he should only use it the first time and once when he is about to die, and you know the process already, so just finish what little hp he has left.

Follow that and you can proudly say, "This was one of the easiest bosses ever!" ( no joke :D )

Note: The boss or one of his summons casts a slow debuff on you, so when tank is leading treants to other side of wall, it will be difficult. As a paladin I had the Blessing of Freedom spell so this wasn't a problem. Therefore if you cannot remove this debuff, react quickly to his transformation and it shouldn't be as bad.

If there is a Warlock in your group, Seed of Corruption IS your main spell to be casting on Freywinn. This is exceptional if you're deep Affliction.

I'm 35/5/21 (deep enough for Siphon Life and Dark Pact, basically the old SM/Ruin build only a bit deeper), and using SoC on the boss every time you see 3 Seedlings out is for the win. Don't think waiting for three is too long, because he plants them quick, and ONE SoC is more than enough to wipe the seedlings (I first tried this in Heroic and did fine ~850-950+shadow depending on what totem the Shaman in the group had down). With the amount of damage your other DPS are pumping out on the boss, SoC will proc right away.

SoC is a mana-heavy spell, but you're a Warlock. If you're spec'd anywhere similar to me you can Dark Pact, or Life Tap if need be.

This is an extremely annoying fight, but it's really not too hard. Using SoC the way I did seemed to make it incredibly easy in terms of add control. So yeah, it seems Warlocks win in a lot of the TK instances. This boss: don't let your other DPS waste their mana on adds, we have pretty much an endless pool of mana, make use of it.

Simple fight if you know what your doing. Have the tank tank him where he stands. When he summons a seedling, have a designated party member immediatly attack it. (I recommend one of the DPS, a hunter or mage does well) Every 45 seconds or so he turns into a tree of life and summons 3 mobs which heal him of about 1% a second. Have all members of the party go around the force field to the left of boss, and kill the adds. Then have all members go back and attack. Rinse and repeat. Good luck ;D

This fight can be really hard if you lack dps in the group. we had me (mm hunter,) another mm hunter (who didnt speak english bleh) and a mage (nope, no english either). I was on killing small adds and they were supposed to kill boss. problem is they didnt manage to do more damage then the tranquilitty healed. I ended up with no mana and adds didnt go down anymore, so we whiped. §after 10 times the treant thing. damage meters gave me double as much damage done then other dps'ers.

I just soloed this as a Resto Druid for my Potion Mastery quest. It was a pretty tough fight for me. I have 1573 SP unbuffed. Spirit and MP5 is essential here. Make sure you use Innervate and mana pot wisely.

Make sure you keep up Thorns, don't waste your mana on the Seedlings he spawns.

Also keep up Regrowth/Rejuv for the fight and use Swiftmend whenever possible.

Tank him from the middle of the bridge. Keep up Moonfire and spam Wrath on him. Run towards his alchemy table and get in the corner when he casts Tranquility so you can LOS his adds.

Cast Barkskin and use Hurricane on the adds. Your Barkskin should be on cooldown for like 10 seconds between each add phase. During this time switch to Tree Form and use Regrowth.

Took me about 10 minutes.

Just soloed as a level 80 enhance shaman with mostly ilevel 200 gear for the potion mastery quest. Popped Feral Spirit, Shamanistic Rage, and Heroism as soon as I pulled. Had Healing Stream, Strength of Earth, and Magma Totems down. I never dropped below 95% health and he was dead before he ever tried to transform and heal.

Attempted to solo him for my Potion Mastery quest on a freshly 80'd Disc Priest in crafted iLvl 187-200 epics and blues. Eventually succeeded after some initial frustration; following are some tips to help those trying to do the same:

Getting there -

Mind Control is your friend! Nearly all humanoids in Bot can be MC'd - Bloodwarder Menders in particular can provide the still-useful Holy Fury buff. That aside, MC can and should be your primary method of controlling damage taken.
Mind Soothe will allow you to skip a fair portion of the trash prior to Freywinn. You can use it to bypass the Mender/Greenkeeper packs - keeping some of these groups alive also means another shot at Freywinn with the option of Holy Fury available in the unfortunate event of a wipe!
Commander Sarannis and the entire group of mobs standing around the bridge by which she patrols can be skipped without the use of Mind Soothe.
You'll want to clear the Falconer pack just before Freywinn's platform, as well as the Botanists, Researchers and Frayers near him. You'll need this space later, to kite the Lashers he'll spawn out of Tranquility.

Taking him down -

Regulate your damage. A successful attempt at soloing him involves balancing your damage dealt with your mana spent. You'll want to deal enough damage to him so as to be chipping away at his health in an expeditious fashion in spite of the healing he'll be doing via Tranquility, but you'll also want to have enough mana to last the encounter.
This means you'll want to know what your mana-efficient spells are. Fall back on SW: Pain and Holy Fire for your offensive options; avoid Devouring Plague unless you're pairing it with Inner Focus. Remember that you can always wand!
That said, don't be afraid to AoE as needed. Even if you're keeping Inner Fire up, you'll still find yourself taking a fair amount of damage. Mind Sear Freywinn when seedlings stack up, and Holy Nova only as many times as necessary to kill the spawned Lashers once they're out of Freywinn's Tranquility.
As mentioned, Freywinn and his seedlings will be putting out a good bit of damage - so heal yourself as required. As a deep Disc spec (54/17/0), a glyphed Penance should be sufficient. With Inner Fire up (non-glyphed), you'll can expect hits of 700-900 from Freywinn himself, at a similar level of gearing. The use of Holy Nova during Tranquility phases should be sufficient to negate the better part of Lasher damage.
Don't forget the mana regeneration options at your disposal. Between your Shadowfiend, Hymn of Hope, and any potions you may have at your disposal, luck willing you'll have the mana to ride out the encounter. The use of PW:Shield to negate damage as opposed to direct healing will also help in this department.
Your Shadowfiend in particular is a valuable addition here: remember that you can actively use Shadowcrawl to provide your Shadowfiend a 15% damage buff for the entire duration of its existance.
Above all, remember that Freywinn is immune to any and all damage while he's channeling Tranquility, and will only stop prematurely if the Lashers he spawns when he does so are killed. Don't waste a DP or Shadowfiend due to poor timing!

All in all, the fight should take no longer than 3 or 4 minutes. Your limiting factor here should be your mana - it'll take some time to find that happy medium between moderating your mana usage to last the fight, and dealing enough damage to take him down before healing becomes too much of a burden.

Just like to point out that as a lv 80 assasin(mutilate) rogue, i was able to stealth all the way to this boss, using distraction carefully on the mobs and pats, and then soloed him on my second try.

my strategy was to open with cold blood->mutilate, then immediately sprint to the edge of the bridge, then pop cloak of shadows (with glyph) and dps him down, and when cloak of shadows wears off, pop evasion, soon after he will go into tree of life and spawn adds, thats when i ran just around the corner and LOS them, and all the adds went down easily with 2 FoK attacks, then i just proceeded to finish off the boss (had a bout 8k left after that)

only buff i had was 80atp / 40stam food buff, although i would recommend bringing a couple runic healing pots to use if you get low, even though i did this without any.

hope this helps to any latecomer alchemists that need that book and cant convince guildies to run Bot.

I too ran this for alchemy because I didn't want to shell out the gold for primal might.

I soloed it as a beast master hunter with the crafted ilevel 187 pvp set and a Nesingwary 4000, spec set to make my pet a tank (take all talents to buff your pet at the cost of your own DPS).

This guy isn't that big a deal, let your pet pick up the adds with his thunderstomp and take them down as fast as you can. Pop all your cooldowns (bestial wrath, kill command, etc) and it should be no big deal.

When I fought him he only went into the channeled invulnerability mode where he heals himself once and it lasted maybe 15 seconds.

The first Botanica boss was also easy so if you're leveling alchemy this isn't really that bad to do if you're level 80.

All in all not too bad.

It's pretty weird that no one had noticed but he's the only blood elf in the game who's druid who CAN transform. Lorefact tells that there are blood elf druids but they cannot transform (we don't know if they actually chose not to or if they cant).

Here's a part I took from wowwiki Blood Elf (playable) section:
Contrary to popular belief, blood elves still have a strong affinity with nature, especially the Farstrider rangers. Like the quel'dorei before them, the sin'dorei have druids, but they are not the same as kaldorei or tauren druids; the blood elf variety of druids are closer to traditional "medieval" druids, working to conserve and maintain the natural environment of Quel'Thalas. While most cannot shape-shift, they share some of the same druid spells such as Speak with Plants. However, there is at least one shape-shifting druid (High Botanist Freywinn).

They must have done something here. I am a lvl 84 Rogue and cannot kill this boss. I have tried every suggestion here and they didn't work for me.

This boss is very tuff.

Basically the name of the game is FAST dps.

Every 30 seconds she will turn to tree form and cast tranqulity. You cannot dispel it.

Inorder to stop the boss from healing, you need to dps the 3-4 Ents that she spawns when going resto form.

Run around the corner and LoS pull the Ents have a ranged Stunn that does moderate damage, so be fast, and kill them fast to stop the tranqulity.

Resume dps.

the small ents/flowers are no worry, Lock SoC or Aoe or a single target attack will deal with them, nothing more then pests.

The tiny lashers he sends out do some painful damage but have low hp, killing them fast is important.

After about 30 seconds he will turn into a Tree of Life, he will summon three bigger elite lashers and will start healing himself and the three lashers, in this form he becomes invurnable and it won't stop until the three lashers are killed.

It is also very important to have high DPS like the previous post said, if you can't kill him and the lashers fast enough he will just heal himself to 100% every time.

One strategy is to nuke one and one lasher quickly. Another is to fight the boss on the bridge and pull the lashers out of sight of the healing of Freywinn, this way they will not be healed and will die faster.

If you have a rogue in the group, he can use the Wound Poison to decrease the healing on boss by 50% when it is fully stacked. It is not confirmed that this truly works.

Wound Poision is useless in this fight. As soon as he goes tree form he removes all poision (and i believe all other debuff) effects. Best to have the rogue dual wielding his best non DOT poisions as the DOTs will be removed when he transofrms as well.

We tanked him where he standed but when the adds spawned we attempted to LOS pull by puilling them to the other side of the bridge, they dont move fast enough to actually go anywhere and by the time they got to where we wanted he was healed 100%.

This boss is fairly easy with strat. Pull to the end of the bridge closest to you, but a bit closer towards him. Once he does the tree crap, just run around the faint blue barrier along the sides of the bridge, whatever one and that will LOS the adds. Kill them fast, rinse and repeat til death. just make sure that the group runs out of sight as soon as he changes forms and that you are all going to the same spot.

the los strat is easy, freywinn only went into healing mode twice we almost got him dead before the second time but he was at 8% hp. if you have a hunter let the pet run on agressive and eat the flowers that cast foot bind

My group was:

Me (moonkin)
Shadow Priest
Prot Warrior
Holy Priest
Fire Mage

We just went oom way too fast and we had no way to cut down his healing like MS or poison. We had the mage and shadow priest working on the little plants and me and the tank spanking the boss while the other priest healed. The mage attacked the boss too but helped more with the plants. If the fight had just kept on like that we would have no problem whatsoever but we had problems with the LoS strat. Most of the time the newly spawned frayers would just stand there for a bit and not aggro unless one of us got close, the tank didnt really helpmatters either. Most times the boss went ToL he would thunderclap the frayers but not move far enough out of sight and just make it a harder battle. We tried about 4 times on this boss then gave up and went to sleep.

This boss is pretty much about endurance too, guess she would be ranked 2nd in terms of being tough in Botanica, (aftr warp splinter) which isnt exactly saying much. Botanica is quite easy.

During the fight, he summons saplings, small flowers continually and then she becomes a tree, and summons 3 large flowers (we will call them flayers to distinguish them).

Now do remember to kill the small saplings, the white ones can freeze you...like a ice trap, let the healer be frozen... and ... you might be in a spot of trouble. Let your mage earn his keep here.

Now when the boss turns to a tree, he casts "tranquility" which basically is an AOE healing spell which heals her and her summoned flayers. And as long as the flayers are alive, she will keep regenerating her health ... all the way to 100%.

So the strategy is simple:

1) Have the tank hold him halfway up the bridge
2) When the saplings come...kill them, especially the white ones.
3) When she becomes a tree and casts tranquility and summons the 3 flayers... EVERYONE just STOP hitting the boss, she is invulnerable. Everyone needs to run to the side of the bridge... The flayers will follow.

Now the flayers are out of the Boss's LoS, so the boss cant heal them. Now kill the 3 trees very fast. The longer the boss is in tree state, the more health she will regenerate. And she will remain in the tree state as long as the flayers are alive.

So you need to kill the flayers very very fast.

Once the flayers are down, get back on the boss and dps her down.

Keep up the strategy, have a few mana pots, and
you will do capitally. Its all about endurance.

We got her at our very first attempt, admittedly one wipe, but we had a balanced druid healing.

Since then, we havent wiped, we go to her, make faces, kill her and get the loot.
Easy peasy.

Okay, we know that the white ones freeze you, but there are more saplings, like the green ones, they have a damage aura, like 350 damage every 3 sec. Then you have red ones, they do more melee damage, but are the weakest of all those saplings. Then we still have blue ones. They slow you. Just kill all of them as fast as possible, the blue and green ones do their abilities on a 30 yard range, and they can use it on everyone in the group, but the red and white ones can't do anything if you keep them at a distance, so kill those with ranged attacks.

And the third boss is way easier, just check what I said there :D

Woo! downed this guy last night, man my group had sick dps

2 hunters,
1 warlock,
1 prot pally,
1 holy pally

We managed to kill him with only ONE tranquility going off! it was awesome.

Dropped the shoulders which i won (hunter) :P
But i won 3 blue items before the last boss so passed on the Beast Lord Cuirass that dropped out of courtesy to the other hunter, that woulda been the best bot run ever without him haha

But yeah, one tranq. i was stoked, as i've wiped on this guy before. We also accidentally pulled the first boss at the same time as a group of mobs and still manged to kill her with no casualties

OK the guy is a pain in the ass we wiped like 4 times due to the healer not getting out of Line of sight.

But the LOS tactic does work fight him on the bridge right at the end of the bridge when he stamps the ground he is going into tree form start to back off then with the tank staying till the ring appears off you pop round the corner adds following the tank. adds get nuked as teh last add was dying I ran back to the boss he fell on the 3rd heal. We had no problems after that.

So LOS does work just takes a bit of fine tuning to get it right

4 wipes, and we noticed that Blizz has upped the frequency of the tranquility - it seems to be about 20 seconds now.

Without a lock it doesn't seem doable.

And this was NORMAL mode!

Did this fight yesterday. I am not geared at all... I am wearing 3 welfare epics and the rest blues on my hunter. The boss was pretty easy IMO. Tank in the middle of the ramp, DPS at the base(hunter mlti shot takes care of the adds) and beat her up. Tree form means run around the corner, Beat the trees up then back to her.

Pretty easy, just have someone on flower control, as soon as the flower show kill them, if you can kill them fast enough he won't go into the tree form, if he does, just pull the flowers back and kill them fast, then back to boss.

A strong argument for Blood Elves to be given the option of the druid class. And he's a cutie too. ;-D

But seriously, this fight can be easy with a good group.

Have a warlock use Seed of Corruption to kill the seedlings he summons, along with Curse of Doom on the big guy himself.

When he turns into a tree, quickly have the whole group (including the tank) move to the area around the side of the bridge, where you approached him. This will prevent his healing of the summoned Flayers. Kill the Flayers quickly.

When he turns back into a blood elf, have the tank keep him positioned on the bridge. Continue DPSing the boss and killing the seedlings.

This cycle continues until the boss is dead. Make sure everyone knows what they're doing, and you should down him in no time.

Alright, I'm a warrior(protection specced) with 11.7k health and 460 defense. Anyone with lower stuff can do this, anyone with higher stuff. I just tanked him on the bridge, and when he went tree of life form, just run out of line of sight. We killed 2 of the lashers and used the extra time to take out the smaller ones, then finished the third and went back to DPS'ing the crap outa this guy. He got off 2 tranquilities.

This boss is easy.

Tank him at the end of the bridge/platform (call it whatever you want). He will constantly spawn little flower guys, they only have 1500-2000hp, kill them asap, they will freeze trap you, slow you down, some have an aura. Throughout the fight, he will do a skill called 'tranquility' he turns into a tree and becomes invulnerable, when he does this, he will also spawn 4 other trees that will heal him back up to 100%. You have a 2 options, move out of line of sight and bring them with you so they don't heal him while you kill them off. OR, if you have a very dps strong group, just kill them right infront of him.

Bada boom, bada bing, easy boss.

Imo the best way to kill him is:

Group Warrior Shaman (enhancement) Rogue Mage Druid (healer)

Tank him at the middle of the bridge, so that the small adds that constantaly spawn (900 hp ones) have a further route to healer.

Rogue Shaman constantly on boss between tranquility phases.

Shaman has earthbind so that the adds move slowly towards healer, warrior shall not demo shout/thunderclap so that the small adds stay because they frosttrap etc. lowering dps.

Mage will frostnova as many of the small 900hp adds as possible, then aoe then when they gather to around 5-6 or so, just before they reach healer. Mage can dps on boss when the adds are in frost nova and he/she's waiting for them to gather.

When boss goes tree-mode everybody run out of sight fast, most importantly healer and mage. Melee may get stuck in immobilize effect but it's no worry mage can handle them since they also have low hp but shaman and rogue should hurry to help kill the adds fast because that is which in the end will determine if you succeed (how fast the tree adds die).

Trouble with randoms is to get them to understand to move out of sight fast, thats basically the only hard part. Mage have the hardest job here but it's not that difficult either just have mage slow dps on boss and handle adds.

Not sure if I described it well enough or if you understand what I ment with everything, but it's a hard boss to just run in and see what happens.. this tactic of course works without rogue shaman but I'd say it's easier with a mage in the party. A hunter can frosttrap instead of earthbind, any class that can hurt 4 targets can handle the adds but a mage was effective.

With a lock and mage, this guy was a non-event. Maintained a Seed of Corruption on him, and adds were gone in a tick. Just switched AE focus to treants during tranquility and they dropped very quickly.

Had the boss tanked at the edge of the bridge so we can get LoS faster to kill the 3 adds, make sure the 3 adds are away from the Tranquility AoE. Both mages dpsing the boss and the rogue killing the seedlings and wound poisoning the boss so it healed less. The seedlings have damaging debuffs so kill them, and maybe a mage assist if the rogue get's bound. And just DPS and get LoS, rinse and repeat. Eventually it will die.

at surtain % she will become a three form And spawn 3 adds. KILL THEM FAST! because they heal her :( WHen the 3 of them are dead she will turn back to normal form and you can nuke her.

A good tactic is to take the adds away from the boss.

we had a warlock,mage,priest,rouge,warrior.

we pulled him down from brigde, and did the fight on the area before. we did insane dps on him all we had, and when he turned into a tree, warlock feared adds so they did not do the 1200 dmg on priest, after that we did full dps on adds

we assinged a warlock to take out the small adds duing the main fight,

4 try and we got him down fairly easy.

For an extra DPS boost we did this:

mage(me)
shadow priest
holy priest
hunter
warrior

The first boss spawns 3 adds - 2 non elites and an elite 'mender'. I sheeped the mender til the end of the fight. Have the priest MC the mender afterwards and use the powerful +295 spell dmg buff on your casters. With enough DPS, this guy goes down after only 2 add tranquility phases. No need to LoS, just have group leader assign nuke targets on adds and blast away. We had hunter multi shot and the occasional AE from me take down the little guys.

I've had my group wipes on this boss a lot. Mainly because people are not pulling the conjured trees around the corner all the way to break the los. As a mage with shatter, I frost nova and cone of cold to put some hurt on those guys, and ice lance anything still frozen. If everyone focuses on pulling them around the corner and killing them quickly, which my last group finally did, the boss went down.

Otherwise, after several minutes the boss was still at 100% and we just had to reset.

Wound Poison (50% stacked -healing effects done to target) Works on this boss.

Get a rogue, make sure he was a few of them and have him keep the 5-stack on the boss, when the boss turns into a tree, have him shiv it to replenish the debuff before running around corner.
