I may be way off base here but there seems to be a lot of comments that these new legendaries are going to have the negative consequences of forcing hard core raiders to require them or that they supply an unfair advantage to certain people based on RNG. Some look like they are better than others, granted, and they may be synergistic with certain specs and improve performance... yeah, but my experience with what is considered serious raid progression is at the least 75% skill and 25% gear. I'm totally making up a statistic there but the best gear in the game doesn't make you competitive or a potential world first... shoot realm first raider during any expansion ever. Yes, top raiders seek out the best gear and optimize at every turn but it's icing on the cake not a deal breaker. There's still a lot of information missing in this equation as well, how will these legendaries compare to set bonuses, exactly what is the gap between these legendaries and any other piece of gear. From what I've come to understand is that the gap doesn't exist in the stats at all but in the passive "flavor" ability which after viewing quite of few of the datamined gear, a positive impact on performance is very few and far between. I don't think anyone should be calling foul play just yet. What I'm getting from all of this new legendary stuff isn't that they want to give an unfair boost to random people but a new way of adding in "treasures" to find but without the help of a treasure map. They get you excited when you find one but at the end of the day you won't be changing your whole life... or for the sake of relevance, changing your whole rotation or recruiting based on it.
not really liking the enchanting 'illusions' scrolls from bosses. its a huge pain in the ass like the drop rate for the music scrolls too. but i guess you need to keep ppl doing the old content for some reason cause the odds are they have all the mogs they wanted. just do us a favor and make them battle net wide pls
Very poor enchants for the MM hunter :(
The feltouched cloth and mail sets look really weak but leather and plate look amazing!
I personally hope the weapon illusions are a 5-15% drop so it will take us a while to farm and we have to work for them, but we can still obtain them fairly easily and quickly as long as we farm them. Plus I will already be running all old raids for the transmogs when Wardrobe comes out, so added bonus!
Enchanter's who already know the recipes should auto-learn these or it's a big insult to current players. Same with minor glyphs.
Darmok, and Jelad, at Tinagra.
Thanks for this article as I asked for it, But I do have additional questions. How and where will these be stored once obtained?Do they become part of the New Wardrobe? Is it a learn it once forever, or will we need farm up the Illusion and or Mats for illusion every time we want one?Are there going to be class limits to the application as there are now, ie. Limited to certain classes only
Ekowraith, Creator of Worlds is a reference to a Porter Robinson song (Fellow Feeling) just fyi :)
Maybe I haven't seen it cuz I may be blind, but will bows be enchantable with illusions in Legion, because they aren't now. Come on Blizz!
Are we going to start seeing the ability to add these illusions to Shields, Bows, and Guns?Been waiting awhile for this
This was a really good article, useful update information and devoid of Panser and Pepe.
I really hope there are plans for a blue flame enchant as well. I would never take it off.
