Oh, that's fun! It's like a spin of the old fishing competition! Excited to try that out! :)
Recolours and a trading post mount. This has got to stop. 😪
I prefer this way of handling the tourney - no actual competition, just a race against the clock. And means you can do it more in your own time then having to be there for a specific event that only happens once a week.. I was never able to do the Stranglethorn tournament because it takes place at 6 am on a Monday morning locally.
lmao, the picture
this is actually what the fishing tournament should be. As a angling enjoyer I love this version. the best thing about the stranglethorn extravaganza were the 3 green items you were able to fish up after the first 3 turn-ins were over. just some fishing for an hour (or three back then) every week.
You know, the guide writers should probably mention somewhere not to pick up this quest until you are at least level 150 fishing. Because if you are under 150 fishing you can not see the fishing nodes needed for the last fish and you wast your buff and an hour of your time.
The glimmerpools are in Hallowfall as well. I just caught a Bismuth Bitterling there.
There is also an achievement that can be earned called "The Derby Dash" it rewards the mount Kah, Legend of the Deep.
down to 10 mins left on the buff and have not seen a single royal ripple T_T
Yeah this royal ripple shortage is super fun
Warning: don't leave this too late because I picked up the buff about 2:42 AM EDT, and returned to the quest-giver about 3:22 AM EDT and while the ? marked her location, she was nowhere to be found, even though I had some 20 minutes left on the buff. I guess it's a strict midnight-midnight PST (3:00 - 3:00 AM Eastern).I hope Blizzard fixes this so she sticks around for an extra hour for turn-ins to accommodate anyone who picked up the buff with less than an hour to go. Guess I'll see if the completed quest sticks around for the week. I wonder if I can get the buff again without turning it in.
