Some of the sets are exact (or pretty close) colour matches which is great for mixing and matching. I think they also revamped a couple of the BfA cloth mogs?

Title is SUPER misleading, but technically not wrong. The gems you get are free, and you get them straight from renown. So, while they do cost a thing, that thing is given to you for free and has no other use.
so i got 3 of these gems and when learned what they were for i was all meh...if something better comes along ill hold on to them just n case
Guys, it's called free here because these sets have a regular price you can pay when you have no gems.
For some reason, the ensembles I have purchased from this collection are only available to the character that purchased them. Assuming (hoping) this is a bug.

Nice civilian sets, just sad that after 2 decades the headpieces still cut off the hair of our characters, making them (imo) unusable for most characters.
I can't wait until they fix the bug for renown 8. These make me wish some of my characters could still grind the first few levels of renown to get more gems.. so many sets to collect. I think 9k is absurd for these.. but otherwise, great job. The headbands clip something fierce into human male heads but they dont clip the hair like all pre-update headbands do. The textures are great and since they come with something for every slot (except back) they're great for mix/matching with a slew of transmog concepts. Really dislike that the color variants have to go so hard though. The "blue" version of the engineer set could have kept the brown leather but replaced red cloth with blue for an absolute DUB. Really appreciate that the scholar sets come with a top AND a robe. GG. Now please add more headbands, handwraps and bracer-wraps. The wrap style gloves are cool but really wish roles besides cloth wearers could wear the almost-matching handwrap models that came out.
