This, and every other Tol Barad daily appears to be bugged for one particular instance.

I was doing this daily, had it 8/14 complete when my queue for the battle popped. We did the battle and lost, so I went to continue doing the Peninsula dailies. I killed several more villagers and noticed that none of the kills counted. I abandoned the quest and was able to retrieve it, but the daily still did not count. I went to try to complete the other dailies, but none of them worked.

Can anyone else confirm this? I am going to try again when the day resets in an hour to see if the dailies function properly then.

sometthing i found rather interesting, you can see most of the pre-cataclysm races here as villagers, the only ones missing are trolls and Night elfs

The fishermen at the docks of Rustberg also count as residents, and usually have less competition.
