Nemesis looks like a big fire turtle and patrols the area. Dont trust blizzards quest-helper, fly around the area and search for him.

81 elite tortoise, but there's no fight involved. Drop your bait and he'll come for it. Mouse over his shell and use the action gear to pry off a piece of shell. You never even go into combat.

As of patch 4.0.6 you will be in combat once the shell in taken. During the time I was taking the shell he remained green and I stayed out of combat, but as soon as the shell was removed he became furious and I was in combat before I could mount and fly away.

This is either incorrect or they fixed it as of patch 4.1. Just did this quest today and had plenty of time to mount up and fly away after receiving his shell.

Nemesis is a glutton for innards and I played around with it and discovered that I could lay the bait at any time, whether he was attacking me or not. He's very slow and you can run away, you can fight, or just stand there and wait. After a few seconds he will get bored and turn green num-numming on innards. The action wheel will appear when mousing over him and you can take your piece and go.

If you wait too long to mount up and he aggros, you can still run away.

Listen up.
This should be useful.

Make sure Nemesis isn't attacking you while you place the bait. It works if you do......but you'll be down to at least 10,000 or less health if you dont have over 50,000. Just friendly advice for those peeps on a deathphobic diet of kills :D

[Fresh and stinking, these innards will prove to be irresistible for Nemesis, the befouled turtle god created by Twilight's Hammer.

Nemesis must eventually be destroyed, but first, we must collect a piece of his fiery armored shell. With it, we'll be able to work some magic to free the true ancient.

Go into the Flamewake and drop this bait near Nemesis. It will distract him. Pry off a piece of his shell... then run, if you hope to survive the encounter.]
