Combined with the other set of claws dropping on this encounter, you have a perfect pair of starting raid weapons as Enh. Simply reforge the haste to Expertise.

As a note to why there is no new Primal Blessing set, just the weapons to pay homage:

As a rogue would never use the set bonus given that is set hails to the Original Primal Blessing set a bonus would be both fitting and warranted but not precisely practical. Not wanting Stat allocation to be wasted on such a proc given that now only a shaman would use both whereas in the original design both a Shaman and Warrior or (just a guess here) Rogue would I do feeling like it would help the set tie into what the old set really was. If anything, given that the offhand really is purely usable by a shaman, I would have liked to see it with 1 less base statistic (say keep the hit but had no haste) and filled in that item's budget plus maybe a bit extra slightly over budget with a bonus to weilding both. This would limit the playability of the offhand severely though when you figure many people can buy (either from AH, friends, or guilds) the Claws of torment.

So basically there is no feasible way to fit a proc unless it was wholly cosmetic and/or removed no stat points from either piece. Either Combat Rogues would suffer for it or any Shaman looking at the off-hand would be gibed without the main-hand.

It's a slow offhand. It would need a hell of a proc for combat rogues want this. We need fast offhands.

It's unfortunate they didn't switch the Arlokk stats with the Thekal stats, that'd make Thekal's a much nicer main hand for a combat rogue.

Wielding the originals back in the days of vanilla this pair of claws hold a special place in my heart. However now that the blessing is gone there is no longer any feasible argument for using them as a combat rogue. Thekal's Claws are fine in your mainhand, but you really want a fast off-hand weapon (more poison procs, trinket stacks, and faster Fan of Knives to name a few) such as Twinblade of the Hakkari from Zul'Gurub.

Still looks drool-a-licious though.

Along with many other main-hand specific fist weapons in the game, such as Fist of Deity , Talon of the Pheonix, and Claw of Molten Fury, the main-hand sister-weapon to this item Thekal's Claws will become one-hand in MoP, and will finally be usable in either hand (and transmog to either hand). This is exciting for those who felt the difference in coloration was off-putting.

This off-hand version, however, will remain offhand.
