Does anyone know if you lose Guild Page if you leave your Guild? Our Guild Leader has decided to leave WoW and didn't pass Guild Lead onto anyone, the officers dont have any real access to anything so we have to move, but sadly our Guild is Level 5 and some have bought the Guild Page.

An answer before we move Guild would be great, otherwise I'll post if you do or not after we've moved.

It's worth noting that when you call this guy out, only you can use him for anything. To everyone else, even guildies and party members, he just stands there... does not act like a vendor or anything but a large minipet.

Unique Features
The Guild Page shares a model with the Guild Herald. This pet has different models for alliance (human) and horde (orc) and has fairly generic animations which are shared with humans/orcs.

How to get it
The Guild Page can be purchased from the various guild vendors in all major cities for 300g. You must obtain a minimum of honored reputation with your guild as well as complete the Alliance Slayer (Horde) or Horde Slayer (Alliance) achievement in order to purchase this pet. You can ask a guard for directions to the guild vendor if you are having difficulty finding them.

This pet will carry a flag on its back which features your guild's emblem + colors. This pet has an eight hour cooldown and acts as a portable guild vendor, allowing the owner to purchase guild rewards.

Incorrect.

During a Blackwing Lair run with a handful of guild mates for Elementium Ingots, one of our members became full (She was the only one rolling on the drops). She used -her- Guild Page and sold her items before we even got to the second boss. When she became full again at Nefarian's loot I summoned my Guild Page and she used it with no issue.

This happened again with a different member using my Guild Page while helping me clean out the Guild Bank. So yes; it does act as a vendor for other people, it just possibly requires them to also be Friendly or Honored with your guild.

You do not lose any purchased guild items when you leave your guild. All you lose is your guild rep.

Incorrect. If you leave or are kicked out of a guild, you only lose your reputation with that guild if you join another guild.

I think it's got a bug in it's code, personally. I believe it should offer vendor services to guild members and work exactly like the Guild Vendor does. However, I have tried to access a fellow guild member's Guild Page while in a dungeon and he did not respond to me at all. Both of us had our Guild Page out and neither could access the other's Page.

And yes, both of us are Honoured with the guild.

Seems like a waste of 300g when you can simply use an Argent Squire to purchase items you actually can use and need at all times. If I can buy the same items from the guild vendor in SW why would I need this guy? I feel like I have wasted 300g on something that isn't all that functional for every day use.

Please, please, correct me if I'm wrong because I'd really like to understand the advantages of this dumpy little kid over my Argent Squire, Traveller's Tundra Mammoth, Kirin Tor ring, Argent Crusade Tabard or Hearthstone. Thanks!

In short, it is another option for selling your vendor trash while running instances, giving you an additional vendor visit during a run.

I find it particularly useful when soloing older instances (there are several reasons one might wish to do this) where my bags fill up fast and the value of vendorable stuff (trash & BoP boss drops) that I could sell per vendor visit is significant (50-100g) and I don't want to have to leave the instance just to empty my bags.

The Argent Gruntling/Argent Squire is awesome, but it also has a 3 hour cooldown. So having both the Guild Page and Argent Gruntling means you can vendor your trash twice during the run.

The Mammoth is awesome in that you have infinite vendor visits, however it can only be summoned outdoors, and running all the way out the instance to vendor trash is sometimes more hassle than it is worth (especially if you are soloing a raid instance and your raid buddy has left the party, meaning you would need to find another person to form a raid with if you leave the instance).

Using a teleport to get out of an instance to sell your stuff doesn't really help if you are soloing content, because then it is a hassle to return to the instance.

If you already have the Argent Gruntling, or you are an engineer with all their myriad vendor/mailbox options and you find that these allow you to sell all the stuff you pick up in your solo runs already, then the guild page is probably, like you say, a waste of money.

However, if, like me, you frequently find yourself having to either throw away vendorable items or face having to waste time to sell the stuff by running out the instance (and remember Time is Money, Friend), then it won't be long before your Guild Page has paid for itself.

You get a pet that's the same size as you, granted it's only for 5 minutes but look at all the people who bought toy train sets and sub-sequentially, wind-up train wreckers at 250 gold each. Those only last for 30 seconds or so with a 30 min CD. So 5 hours worth of CD's for the same up time. And gold is way easier to make now. As soon as they became available in my guild everyone bought one. We all popped them during a Baradin Hold run and the Papa Hummels went flying. There were giant orcs everywhere and the whole raid giggled like little kids.

I think the reason for such a long cd is so that people don't overuse this in PvP. These could help to create a bit of confusion in the battlefield.

Purchasable from the Guild Vendors in major cities for 300g . Note that this item requires Honored Guild Reputation to purchase.
Given the cooldown, if you have a pet-summoning addon (like MiniPet), you should add this pet to those that are never automatically summoned. (With MiniPet, go to the Favorites tab and set the pet's weight to zero.).

If you are having issues with your guild page being auto-summoned on log-in summon a different pet then zone or log out. Until the bug is fixed I would definitely summon a different pet when you are done with your Guild Page so you don't blow the 8-hour cool down.

Note that if you buy guild reward items from this, NO faction discount is applied. At the point you are able to buy this companion you most likely are exalted with some city or other, or are a goblin, and would thus get reward items cheaper buying from a vendor in a city than from this.

I generally use this when I'm trying to clear up bag space, far from a city (like in a dungeon). Other items you could use for the same purpose include:

Mobile Banking, if your guild's high enough lvl.
Guild Herald, if the requirements to buy have been met.
Argent Gruntling / Argent Squire, if you have a Argent Pony Bridle.
Jeeves, if you're an engineer / one's present.
Reins of the Traveler's Tundra Mammoth / Reins of the Traveler's Tundra Mammoth, if you're able to mount.
