This weapon was specially tailored for an enhancement shaman, and such as other class-specific pieces of gear (such as Dragonwreck Throwing Axe and Crossfire Carbine) it drops from Trash rather than a Boss, thus saving a slot in the loot table and avoiding those unpleasant "omg nobody can use that" moments on looting.

One might argue that this weapon is usable by a Hunter, which is true actually, considering they don't care about speed, BUT, Cataclysm haven't introduced any passive weapon enchant such as the old versions of Agility, making 2-Handed weapons much more desirable than dual wielding.

And, inb4 a Hunter comes by posting that Hurricane can proc from Hunter's special shots and DoTs (and it does), please be advised that Hurricane's Spell proc can't stack and is on a 45 sec ICD. So dual wielding weapons with Hurricane will bring no benefit at at all.

Also, please note that slow offhands are prohibited for Assassination and Combat Rogues, but are rather irrelevant to Subtetly, due having no offhand mechanic such as Combat Potency, but still, slow offhands are not good until higher levels of Hit Rating.

I just recently got this in my 10m BWD on my hunter (All of us rolled for it) and was wondering how much I should sell it for?

There's a +130 agility enchant for 2handers, and Landslide, Hurricane, and Avalanche no longer work with Ranged attacks.

Hence, this is purely an enhancement shaman weapon. Remember Mounting Vengeance? Same thing. Like Morthred said, there is only one spec of one class that would want this, which is why it's a BoE trash drop.

Other examples include:

Crossfire Carbine (Protection Warrior)
Claws of Agony (Fury Warrior w/ Single-Minded Fury)
Claws of Torment (Enh Shaman off-hand or Fury Warrior offhand)

(ed.) On top of the fact that nobody else should want this, Hit/Mastery is perfect itemization for an Enhancement Shaman, and it's the best PvE 359 weapon you'll find, especially if you're an orc.

tl;dr: This is not a hunter weapon. Give this to your Enhancement Shaman, and he'll show you the meaning of dps.

it's truly marvelous design by blizzard to have THREE of the FOUR total options for weapons for enhance shammies to drop from BWD trash. and one of them is fairly useless with strength. there are a whopping 22 trash mobs in bwd. bastion of thunder has like 200. not surprisingly, we've had one "trepic" in bwd to date and about 15 bot ones.

Short of heroic modes, with most people not going to see heroic mode while the axe off Nefarian is still useful, this is the best off hand for enhancement period. I view it being a BoE a plus. There's a chance it drops in a ten man run without a shaman and shows up on AH. Being able to buy a great weapon like this instead of relying on the minuscule chance it drops while you're there is a positive in my book.

This is a really fantastic offhand weapon. Managed to get one for 18k off the AH lask week and I'm loving it every bit.
