An upgrade to mammoth cutters. Im expecting them to be about 80 dps or so and thats always a nice upgrade :D

It's good that engineering finaly got some love in endgame. All other professions had lots of new things to craft in 3.1 and 3.2, and to profit from....

Now, what we need is an upgrade of our googles to lvl277!
Miss the days of TBC when our googles were good until SWP, and there we could upgrade them.

Engineers were recognisable then.

The reagents are probably a placeholder, otherwise this will be an extremely cheap way for high-end raiding engineers to make some good money (and provide the Hunters in the raid with a good damage bonus as well).

From what it says on the Ashen Verdict 3.3 guide here on https://www.wowhead.com/cata/guide=3.3&ashen-verdict, This pattern, as well as Iceblade Arrows Will Require 1 Primordial Saronite to purchase, in addition to honored reputation with the Ashen Verdict and Goblin / Gnomish Engineer respectively.. (Alternate Clarification, http://www.wowwiki.com/Ashen_Verdict).

I also highly doubt the Reagents are placeholders, due to the sheer cost of the pattern. One primordial saronite will be rather expensive in terms of emblems or gold, if any are on the Auction house, or for sale at all.

these are starting to crop up on servers now that some people have the rep required for these plans

sad thing is, they are actually trying to sell them for 50g+ a stack, some trying 75g, whats worse is they are selling

im an engineer but good thing im not a hunter, and even if i was, i'd probably stick to cheaper ammo if its going to be 10x expensive on AH or even straight from the crafter

now look at the mats... 2 crystallized earth

they are practically free, im always carrying at least 20 eternal earths on me and always have an overflow as well when i go out mining for mats... i was expecting maybe titanium bar or something maybe more expensive than the previous bullets (same goes for the arrows just with an equally common 2 shadows, just not as much demand for arrows however atm)

i personally could sell mammoth cutters for as low as 5g a stack and still make a killing, i felt like it, i could buy stacks of saronite for 10-15g and sell the 10 stacks of bullets for a 3x profit... just too bad i havent gotten into ICC content yet, you could undercut the competition by any amount and make extremely easy money off needy hunters, especially since eternal earths are also practically free on the AH too ROFL, if you bought the primordial saronite with gold rather than badges to get this recipe, you'd make the money back in no time

the final icing on the cake though random, was to bring in goblin/gnomish engineering into the mix... which means if lets say you happen to be a hunter engineer but not the right specialization, you ether need to switch, or find someone else regardless to get your top of the line bullets... was thinking maybe they'd do something more along the lines of gear or trinkets for high end specializations in either, but are bullets and arrows really the pinnacle of goblin and gnomish engineering lol?

Awsome bullets :)....... come on Blzzard add more things to engineering.... WotLK have been so *!@#ing unfair for engineerers.... we now got these bullets/arrows, jeeves, some enchants and old stuff...... give us more cool things to do..... am I right!

Thank to Narain Soothfancy and his book you can change your engineering specialization for a small fee and do both arrows and bullets (not in the same time ofc.).

Update on the recipe recapture, I went to Ironforge to learn some Gnomish recipes. Then I returned to the Soothsaying book and dropped Gnomish spec. When I retrained Goblin I got my old recipes back again. Then I dropped Goblin and went back to Gnomish. All the Gnomish recipes I had learned were given back to me. So it appears that the recipe recapture ability works both ways. Whichever specialized recipes you've learned will be given back to you when you switch back to that spec.

Luckily for me, I'm an hunter. I got mining and loads of guildies got engineering. Might be worthwhile to ask the guild if anybody has this or the arrows.

once you give up one or the other you can no longer produce their stuff - i.e. drop gnomish for goblin, can't make gnomish stuff any more and vice versa

if u are a hunter that is goblin engineer that uses guns will love this or if u are a gnomish one and u love bows and crossbows it arrow counter part is perfect for you

A true shame that one of the first really reliable ways for Engineers of any form to make money is being removed from the game shortly after it is introduced with the removal of ammo from the game altogether. I am currently debating if it is worth using a primordial Saronite to by a recipe that will be removed from the game by the end of the year or if I should just give it to a guild mate to but something that will actually still be useful after the expansion.

That's true only if Cata comes out before 2011. I honestly doubt it will happen. Anyway... you still have 7 months from now, so you can make good money (depending on server economy).
