One of the rewards from the Quel'Delar quest chain, the others being: Quel'Delar, Ferocity of the Scorned, Quel'Delar, Might of the Faithful, Quel'Delar, Cunning of the Shadows, Quel'Delar, Lens of the Mind, Cudgel of Furious Justice, and Lightborn Spire.

~~This is the healing mace variant of the quest rewards, however with boomkins and elemental shamans unable to use the dps sword reward, they could definitely make good use of this item as well.~~ Itemization changed, now it's very nicely itemized for both of the aforementioned specs.

Of note: Internally we have made a change that removes the mp5 from the main hand mace and changed that to haste to match the sword to make it more dps-worthy.

With the current itemization of this mace, both DPS and healers can make good use of this mace. DPS casters and healers generally want the same stats on their items, except Healers want MP5 and DPS want Hit rating. With this mace having neither MP5 or hit rating, both roles can use this weapon exceptionally well.

I know my Resto Shaman is looking forward to gaining this weapon.

Excellent weapon for disc priests, itemized very well to support DA procs and quick Flash Heals. It's pretty good for holy too, though I was never partial to crit stacking as holy. Still, with the ease in obtaining this plus the exceptional spellpower, this is a great mace overall.

Out of sheer curiosity, is it possible to get two Quel'Dalars? For example, if I want the Hammer of Purified Flame for my Resto Druid set, and Lightborn Spire for my Feral Druid set, am I going to have to pick and choose, or is it possible to do this quest chain twice?

....I highly doubt that Blizzard is that kind, but I thought I'd check anyway. ^^;

Mythricia is agreeable and disagreeable. The point agreeable is that certain stats when it comes to priest spec require more attention then others. The part disagreeable is spirit. You'd a nut job not to give spirit at least some attention.

Even though its lacking spirit, there is enchants you can get of your flavor. My personal preference is spell power but then again I'm sitting at 1201 spirit /1183 intellect unbuffed.

The beauty of spirit regeneration though is that in groups, it just gets better and better. Normally, raid-buffed, I sit around 750 mp5 and about 1300 top end. A good thought of measurement is, how long can you sustain your highest HPS. Pretty much every priest should be saying that in some extent with equal thought on keeping your party/raid alive.

Normally priests are a lot of judgment calls and how you play. I'd say, you get the most variety out of all the classes when it comes to priest because of how attitude of the person controlling that toon.

Back to subject:
This mace is excellent for dps and healing but would need a very good matching offhand. The only choice would be the enchant, and, like I said, its dependent on what the owner wants to gem/enchant his gear with.

This item is interesting because both elemental and restoration shaman would enjoy having haste, crit, and spellpower. I'd say it is a caster weapon that can be used for both dps and healing. (Especially shaman)

Those stats are also sought out by Holy Pallies, but you'd never see a Ret Pally (other than joking around) using this weapon.

So clearly it is best for ele/rest shaman, and everyone else should pass to them. (j/k)

Just from reading through the quest line(s), I am curious to know, given a paladin's ability to use swords, is this mace unavailable to classes who can use both? Or can you choose to return the Restored Quel'Delar to either Justicar Mariel Trueheart or Archmage Aethas Sunreaver? The only difference I see is in the wowhead tooltip which refers to either a tainted or tempered weapon.

Why can't Paladins complete the hilt quest to get this weapon. I don't want the stupid sword, I already have it on one toon.

Got the hilt to drop in heroic HoR and won it....first one I've ever seen drop and I've been running the heroics on and off for months on 3 toons.

Tried to sell it twice then decided screw it and got this for my elemental shammy. She loves it so far...great casting mace and well worth the effort.

Very cool questline too. Easy solo in HoR...earth elemental then go to town...although I didn't hit bloodlust. Elemental died when the sword was at 20K...couple hits later dead. Very fun questline.

My only disappointment is that the mace is a bit small :) Would have preferred something that sticks out a bit more!
