It is being reported that the aces are not tied to instances... many people have reported seeing the various aces drop off of many different last bosses of instances.

For the most part, they have been seen from heroic bosses; however, a few reports of non-heroic ace drops are out there. Perhaps they just have a very small drop rate on normal, like primal nethers.

Note that this Darkmoon Card has +51 Stamina which makes this, along with Darkmoon Card: Madness, the highest +Stamina trinket in the game. While its effect isn't as powerful as Darkmoon Cards: Crusade and Wrath, the Stamina is what makes this valuable.

Can anyone verify if the holy damage done by this item works with the paladin tanking ability Rightous Fury? https://www.wowhead.com/cata/spell=25780

The stamina alone makes this an amazing tanking trinket, and the damage shield is a great bonus to that, but if the damage from said shield generated 90% additional threat in the hands of a protection paladin that would be absolutely awesome!

I would most definitely replace my Goblin Rocket Launcher https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=23836 with this Darkmoon card regardless though. *grin*

I can confirm that aces do drop from the end boss of non-heroic dungeons. My Steamvaults run just had the Ace of Furies drop off the end boss of the the instance in normal mode.

I've tested it out and it seems to take a very very small coefficient of your spell damage. Though it does seem to generate increased threat from Righteous Fury.

So far this doesn't seem to proc if you avoid an attack via miss, dodge, or parry.

However, it does proc off a block, even a full block.

Probably best used by a tank in PVE scenario's, but the HUGE buff to your stamina can also make it viable in PVP too, especially against fast-hitters like rogues, who'll whittle down their health fairly quickly. Best used in conjunction with Pally bubble against rogues, as the rogue will likely still continue his relentless assault in order to build up combo points, while still doing damage to himself.

I just got this trinket and here is everything that you'd want to know about it. This information is geared towards Protection Paladins but should be interpretable by any class.

HP Bonus

- This trinket adds 510HP base, 540HP with Sacred Duty, 590HP with Sacred Duty + Blessing of Kings.

Proc Mechanics

- The proc has no cooldown and can happen in a chain.
- The proc can activate while casting another spell.
- The proc does not require facing your target.
- The proc can crit and does so for 200% damage, not 150%.
- The proc can exceed 115 damage. It has went as high as 121 for me, with a carefully confirmed 0 spell damage bonus. This may be a bug.

Threat Bonuses (as per KLHThreatMeter)

- Every point of damage from this trinket generates 1 point of threat.
- This trinket receives 100% benefit from Righteous Fury, meaning that every point of damage will generate 1.6 points of threat (or 1.9 with Improved Righteous Fury).
- Crits from this trinket will generate double the threat.

Spell Damage

- Though the amount is trivial, this trinket does in fact receive a bonus from spell damage.
- It receives 0.1% of regular spell damage and 0.25% of purely Holy spell damage, such as Judgement of the Crusader.

Other Information

- Procs from this trinket are recorded in the combat log as "Holy Vengeance."
- The proc has the animation of an instant cast nuke with a short, yellow, healing spell-like glow around the caster's hands.

Im getting this for my resto druid. It would just rock for the 2v2 arenas Im doing with my pet warrior, since Im aways getting beaten on, the damage is a nice bonues to the wooping 51 stam.

788 HP in bear form if considering heart of the wild (20%), survival of the fittest (3%), and the bear form stamina bonus (25%).

I play a hunter and i believe that this trinket is the best trinket for arenas if u play beastmastery-survival talent tree. The card of madness may have better ability but i believe that this one is better for arenas.

I will exchange the Argussian Compass for this trinket, but i am a little bit concerned about the rumor, that it procs even standing in an harmfull aura (without aggroing the mob before).

That would cause some unexpected Mobpulls ^^

This trinket is brilliant. Assuming you have no spelldamage, it will hit for an average of 105. Over time, this equals 105/10 = 10,5 damage to attacker every hit.

This thing is probably the best thing for tanks since sliced bread. Any tank can use this. Warriors have trouble holding more than +2 mobs. This could easily fix a little bit of the problem. Druids too. Though, we know what class this was made for, to b honest. Tankadins! Bonus to holy damage threat and the style of the tankadin make this almost a must have. Clearly, not good against a boss. Even though it has 51stam, I would rather go for avoidance or some form of mitigation while facing a boss. But when it comes to anything up to the boss, hell yeah! So, the best tanks that can use this are: Tankadins (duh), Bear tanks, Prot Warriors, Warlocks (LOL). :)

Interestingly, this is affected by Spell reflection. I was killing one of the Boars on the Ogri'La plateau, and when it spellreflected I was suddenly hit by a bolt of holy damage, and it said clear as day in my combat log "Your vengeance hits you for 106 Holy damage."

Could be a good thing in PVP if you're fighting a warrior, though I can't imagine it happening with any degree of frequency. (EDIT: Referring to the trinket eating a warrior's Spell Reflect, not the trinket simply proccing in PVP- of course that'll happen a lot)

The best Stamina trinket to Warlocks in arena, since Madness effects dont proc there... For those with Demonic Embrace and Fel Stamina, the amount of HP this thing gives is higher.
51 * 1,15 = 58,65 Stamina = 580 HP(Demonic Embrace)
580 * 1,03 = 597,4 HP(Fel Stamina)
So, 597 HP. Thats a good amount. But 2k gold is a high price too... xP

Will this effect proc for a priest while using a reflective shield? IE, if I have a r.shield up and I get hit, will vengeance also return damage? If so this would be really nice for a PvP disc priest.

I just got this trinket on my druid and figure I would post results after a night in hyjal.

I was physically hit 1726 times. I was magically hit 657 times.

The trinket proc'd 168 times for a total of 18450 damage.

Just to compare it to thorns, I never had thorns up the whole encounter but it did proc 855 times for a total of 21658 damage.

So don't expect the proc to help a feral druid hold aggro very well. Even against multiple mobs I rarely see it proc. The stam is very nice though and the stam alone makes it worth getting. Thorns looks like a much more reliable way to help hold aggro, especially if you have a druid with improved thorns.

Arena Tanking Priest !

Make a discipline build, put that trinket on and let them come !

Damaging Shields, Shadowguard, Trinket and spam Heals. Survive and damage and the same time.
Any (non-shadow) priest who is not tanking in arena?

This trinket is perfect for a Paladin tank because..

- The tank takes lots of hits and the proc on this is triggered by hits.
- Holy damage causes 90% more threat coming from a Prot Paladin. (petepaw, Righteous Fury increases THREAT from holy spells, not damage)
- +51 stamina on the side.

It's also not very expensive. I bought my entire Furies deck for under 400g. Just turn people down when they try to charge 300g a card.

I haven't tried it with Sanctity aura but I tried it with Seal of the Crusader on my target (increases Holy damage taken) and didn't see an increase. The proc averages about 110 Holy damage and crits for about 220 Holy damage.

Def pally if the holy damage is modified by +spell dmg, if not good for a warrior tanking too.

Decent trinket for solo grinding for rogues, but I think its kinda a waste, Any of the other cards are better, and this is useless in instances/raids.

Pvp its decent for any class, as you will be hit and HP is king.

If modified by spell dmg its a caster's PvP trinket, or a pallies grinding/tanking trinket.

If the holy damage causes higher than normal threat, even w/o spell dmg it would be decent for a warrior tank, however, i think I would prefer a +def/resil/agi/crit trinket for holding aggro and taking less dmg.

i dont care what you all say..This is the best pvp trinket for a priest..
Not only does it give us way way more life(most our trinkets dont have stam)
it also has a nice proc on it...and when you are in arena cloth healers allways get targeted first..

But also it makes an amazing pally tanking trinket because with there threat ability every time this prock they get more aggro on them.

even warriors could use this trinket because the trinket has the most stam in the game.

Darkmoon Card: Madness

Equip: Each time you land a killing blow on an enemy, you gain the Power of Madness.

'Darkmoon Storms Deck'
Darkmoon Card: Wrath
Equip: Each time of of your direct damage attacks does not critically strike, you gain 17 critical strike rating and 17 spell critical strike rating for the next 10 sec. This effect is consumed when you deal a critical strike.

'Darkmoon Furies Deck'
Darkmoon Card: Vengeance
+51 Stamina
Equip: You have a 10% chance when hit by an attack or harmful spell to deal 95 to 115 holy damage to the attacker.

'Darkmoon Blessings Deck'
Darkmoon Card: Crusade
Equip: Each time you deal melee damage to an opponent, you gain 6 attack power for the next 10 sec, stacking up to 20 times. Each time you land a harmfull spell on an opponent, you gain 8 spell damage for the next 10 sec, stacking up to 10 times.

This is the best pally tank trinket currently in the game!

2 Points make it so:
1) Stamina is a paladin tank's weakest feature and this gives the most stamina for a trinket in the game.
2) This trinket works with Righteous Fury. Therefore, the pally tank generates x1.9 of the damage done by this trinket (regardless of spell damage).

Best survival trinket + best agro generation trinket = best pally tank trinket.

(Obviously others can spend their money and use, but its clearly most appropriate for the pally tank.)

I got this card yesterday and a couple hours later I started to think it would be pretty useless when you are uncrushable because your avoidance would be so high but after a test, thats not the case.

Card:
"10% chance when hit by an attack or harmfull spell to activate."

Reckoning:
"10% chance when hit by a damaging attack to activate."

Card doesnt say a hit has to cause you damage to proc and thats true. I just tested it and it proc'd off a dodge.

So I'm assuming that whenever anyone even attempts to attack you (miss, parry, dodge, full block, hit, resist) there is a 10% that it will cause holy damage to the attacker. Great Tankadin trinket.

I'm getting this for my Prot Warrior.
510Hp is immense, and only other trinket I need is the Adamantite Fugurine.
I have insignia for other purposes and thinking of getting Gnomeregan Auto Blocker for tanking heroic bosses and such.

Plus this little baby creates threat too, so stops idiot mages stealing threat 5 secs after you taunt. Clever idea Blizz.

Now to find the cash...

Picked this up from the Darkmoon Shatt faire opening night. Of course I stayed for the concert.

But after that I took it for a few farming runs, hit some mob groups.

Wow.

I was happy enough with the 51 Stamina, but the extra damage is just great. Sometimes it would combine with Holy shield, Sanctuary, Felsteel shield spike, giving extra triple digit damage, you really notice the difference with multiple mobs. It's a nice safe feeling knowing when you block you hit them with damage from 4 sources.

I can't confirm yet that it works on a dodge, having too much fun with multiple mobs.

If things are taking a lot of swings at you, this can really give you an edge.

I'm using this with the Madness card. A total of 102 Stamina for the 2 cards. Cost a few weeks worth of bars, but worth every penny if you ask me.

I've looked at the other Level 70 trinkets, not that many out there. These two cards as a set really do the trick. The crit card by the way was reported as a bug recently. Apparently it wasn't resetting like it should, crit way more than advertised, will be fixed in next patch. The stack damage card is good, but doesn't have the 51 Stamina.

Curious to see what they have planned when the level 80 stuff comes out.

lv70 prot warrior, i got this trinket today.(LS) i had a bit of problem with finding 8th card, but found it on ah and bought it at buyout price, 330g. I know that i wss ripped off, but i couldn't run a risk of losing this card since i hadn't been able to find it for more than a week. Anyway, very nice trinket. +51 stam is just godly, and proc helps in threat generation. I agree that this is more suited for tankadin, but any serious tank (regardless of class) should consider getting this trinket.

I'm thinking about getting this trinket as a feral tanking druid, been trying to get the Badge of tenacity but just refuses to drop for me, so this seemed like a nice option. However I just wanted to ask, is the effect a continous effect or does it have some sort of hidden CD, like cant proc within 5/10/15 seconds of its last proc, or can it proc after proc?. Thanks for any feedback.

My trinket does not seem to be working as intended. I picked random mobs and watched it proc. When it did proc, it had hits of 115, 112 and 92.

In a recorded battle in TK, it hit 130 times for an average of 94...which is not between 95 and 115...what gives?

Careful in neutral zones. I got attacked and killed by bruisers because I was attacked by horde (I'm alliance) and this card proc'd.

thinking about getting this when next darkmoon fair is up on my druid i have madness and the mana reg one (when i decide to go resto) and then the 200-300 nature dmg on my shammy im lvling. would be nice getting 102stamina from just two trinkets w/ my 29.1k armor. GL to you guys on yours i insist you guy the cards not the deck it tends to be cheaper.

as of 2.4 this is the 2nd best tanking trinket in the game, the one of nr 3 boss in heroic MgT has more stamina (im talking about pure tankpoints, ofcause the any other defensive trinket has more avoidance)
