Jaina:

"You won't deny me this, Arthas. I must know. I must find out!"

Jaina says this upon seeing The Lich King appear within the Halls of Reflection.

It follows from a conversation she has with Uther the Lightbringer, also within the Instance, where he explains that, even if the Lich King should fall, the Scourge must always be controlled by a master, else they would "run rampant across the world - destroying all living things."

Uther then offers an explanation as to why the Scourge hasn't done so already, suspecting that, "the piece of Arthas that might be left inside the Lich King is all that holds the Scourge from annihilating Azeroth."

This is the hope that Jaina clings to: that Arthas can be saved.
