For me the drop rate was horrifically low. Hopefully others have better luck.

Quest reward for mail is the same as the craftable copper chain vest. I skipped finishing this on every character since my first Draenai.

Also doesn't appear to have any followups attached to it.

I'm surprised that you had such low drop rates - I got mine reasonably quickly - it seemed like almost every other kill. Even if it gives no rep, the reward is nice to have, especially if this is a new character that needs the green you get.

Just wanted to update that they seemed to have updated the drop rate to be much easier (I killed maybe 10 or 12). That, or I just got quite lucky. Seems much better though. Almost all of my kills had a drop.

In patch 2.4 they increased the drop rate so this quest isnt that bad now. =D

It must just be the luck of the draw as I had a very good drop rate, got the 8 I needed from 11 kills.

I was a level 10 Draenei paladin, with no Draenei characters made previous, when I accepted this quest. Although I nearly died a couple times from multiple Ravagers Rending me, I simply used Gift of the Naaru to heal myself. Very, very easy quest to complete, as I got the 8 I needed in 18 kills.

The mobs you kill for this quest are Ravagers, a species of insect-like creatures newly introduced with the expansion. The ones you need can be found to the east of the furbolg camp where you get the quest. Cross the road to your east... if you hit the ocean you went too far and if you hit the flame elementals you went too far south.

The mobs are levels 9 and 10, mostly 10. They can be tough little buggers, I recommend waiting until you hit level 10 yourself before tackling these guys.

The drop rate, like many collection quests, is very bad. I did it at lvl 9, and the quest may as well have been called "Grind Ravagers Halfway to Level 10". I don't believe it has any follow-ups, you can probably skip it if you want.

The place is called 'Menagerie Wreckage", it's east of Stillpine hold and hard to miss. For those with coordinates, 54.14 puts you bang in the middle, and there is plenty of the creatures you need.

Droprate was okay for me, about every 3rd or fourth Ravager dropped a hide.

For this quest i got a hide for every ravager i killed. I don't know if i got lucky or not but it seemed as though thats the way it was supposed to be.

Wasnt too bad, died once cause got attacked by 2 of them. Was a lvl 8 pally. I had about a 40% drop rate. Lots of them, good for grinding.

I had to kill about 6 before a hide dropped. I was wondering if I was in the right place. But then they started dropping hides about every other one so all in all it took me about a half hour soloing with lvl 11 warrior.

This quest drop rate is very high (well for a colecting quest) any way you should do this quest it is easy xp! :)

I did this quest with my level 8 hunter. During this time my hunter grew a level. The first seven I killed all dropped the quest item. I had trouble on the eighth one, as they wouldn't drop the item. I soon got it, though, after killing 5 or 6 of them.

If the quest is taking you a while you might as well just abandon it.

i just did this quest and my drop rate at like 80% i think i only killed two that didnt drop, and one dropped some nice pants (green). Killed the ones around the outer edge. also a chest spawned near the center.

for my it was easy i did it with my lvl 9 shammy and it was 100% of the times that the monsters drop the hide

there to close together... i can take 1 easy with my lvl 9 pally but 2 is difficult and 3 is darn right impossible and the drp rate is about 30% with me

I don't know if I was just lucky today, but I got all mine in 10 kills. Killed the first one, got one, killed the next two, nothing and then got one for each of the following kills thereafter. All in all not a bad drop rate at all. All you have to do is get to the Menagerie Wreckage and they are all over the place, just west of Stillpine Hold. For those of you with coords it would be 52,17.

Where do I get the key to the Death Ravager Cage? It is not part of the usual ravager hide quest as far as I can see.

Got the hides on kills #7-9 and 11-15.

Not sure if this is legit or not. I killed about 20 of these before I got my first drop. I said to hell with it and went to talk to the big flame elemental for the Call of Fire shaman quest. After that the hides dropped at about 75-80% drop rate.

Might be bad luck but the drop rate for these hides was horrendous. 1 hide out of 11 ravagers killed. Luckily this quest is not a chain so I kicked it to the curb and moved on to the next ...
