This is a Quest Reward from the Gnome in the turtle shell by the Blacksilt Shore that begins a Quest to start "A Map to Where?". When you've read the map and accepted the Quest, head east to the Naga Ruins of Loreth'Aran. If you open your Map, you'll be heading to the northern ruins, not the southern ruins.

Go on top of the circular structure and locate a Battered Ancient Book by one of the Columns. Pick this up and return to Blood Watch to claim your reward.

Blizzard makes your search work easier. Around 61,41 you see now yellow ? mark in the minimap, go there. Easy.

im sitting right here looking at the book and i cant do anything with it is it cuz i only have the 10 day free trial of burning crusade or sumthing or am i to high lvl im lvl 33 by the way wat could it be?

The place is surrounded by lvl 13-15ish naga, pretty easy to kill at the lvl you are.

There is no Gnome at the Blacksilt Shore.

The quest ends there (see map), but where does it starts?
I find 54 quests for the achievement, but I need 60. Cannot find the rest of them.

Once you talk with Anchorite Paetheus at Blood Watch concerning the journal, go back to the Ruins of Loreth'Aran. Where the lost cartographers are at, on top of the hill, is a mound of dirt. Click on it and loot Nolkai's Box. Inside I received:
-Nolkai's Band (no states, appears to be a wedding ring with an inscription)
-Nolkai's Bag (8 slot soulbound)
-Nolkais' Lantern (off-hand +3 intellect)

No idea if other items appears randomly or if this is only loot each time.

Once u get this map from Clopper, what u will be looking for is a journal. It is in the north part of the ruins of loreth'aran on the pavilion

Found at 61,41 (Kalimdor, Bloodmyst Isle) It's a small book on floor or of the smaller pavilion to the north of the Ruins of Loreth'Aran.

when you go to the Loreth"Aran...the Pavilon is at the north end of the ruins....you find the book up on the Pavilon

Ok, the book IS found at 61, 41 on top of the circular ruins. If you get up there and stand on the bridge like part the juts out one of the sides and face the middle, the book will be on the left side on the floor in front of the 3rd pilar. If you count the pillars to your left (when standing on the bride like spot) starting with the one closest to you, when you reach the 3rd pilar, it will be in front of it. It kind of blends in, so pay attention, don't just scan over it.

At Location 61.41 (Ruins of Loreth'Aran).

The book is on the FLOOR near pillar.

You can see the book easily if you look from the centre of the ruin out towards the pillars.

Read most of the comments in this thread and had trouble like everyone else. Stand in the center and face the pillar at 7oclock (or SSW for compass folks). Stay calm for 1 sec and look closely on the floor the book will magically appear :).

This is a very easy quest if you are looking in the right place. At first i was wandering around the larger part of the ruins and couldnt find anything. When i went to the smaller area which is north of the larger one I circled around it until i figured out you have to CLIMB UP on top of it and there was the book!

The book really blends into the floor, so i ended up missing it at first.
For the third part of the quest, I found the mound with Nolkai's Box at 61,49, just south of the slain Draenei cartographers.

The Battered Ancient Book is up on the floor of the pavilion. You have to climb up a broken side of the Pavilion to get up there. The book is in the middle on the floor. Small, pinkish gray.

The right coords are 61 - 41, u have to go up the ruined small building, the book is in the midlle of the circle, just jump on the frissum and from there keep jumping on to the broken area of the building to get inside.

Item you need is a book at the naga infested ruins in the Ruins of Loreth'Aran. Its in the lower ruins. (61,42)

The item needed is a batterd ancient book on top of the pavilion in the north part of the Ruins of Loreth'Aran. There is a ramp up from the grass level to the center of the gazebo like marble pavilion with columns. The pavilion is in ruins.

Hey

A few things I just found out the hard way:

1. You must still have the map in your possession. I deleted mine to make room, I cannot now complete the quest.
2. There is like a bite taken out of the plinth that makes the base of the pavilion on the southeast corner or the pavilion; you jump up that to get to the columns where the book lies. Yes, it is quite pale.

Since the map was a seemingly random drop not seen again, I appear to be hosed.

Don't lose the map before you complete this quest.

for those new to the idea of using coords.

- Open the macro window in game,
- Follow the process for making a new macro … icon.. name ..
in the common area so all of your toons can use it,
- Highlight one of the examples below and copy,
- Click the cursor into your open macro text window
- Use the function “ ctl V “ to paste the script into it.

Found it after a bit of searching. The book blends in with the stone of the pavilion.

Coords for those that use them: 61,41

For those that don't: Ruins of Loreth'Aran where the naga are. The book is sitting near the middle of the ruined pavilion north of the hill with the dead draenei team and has a small cog wheel when you run your mouse over it.

As Jackbytor says, the book is in the set of ruins closest to the shore - not the one on the small hillock. There is a sort of stone ramp on the east side of the structure that leads up into the circle of pillars. The book is on the floor next to the northern pillar. Very small, hard to see.

Descrizione

The crudely-drawn map reveals nothing of its maker, but it appears to have been drawn with an unsteady hand. Wavering lines and symbols depict a small pavilion with broken columns located to the west of a partially submerged tower.

If the map is to be believed, this cluster of ruins appears to be located on the eastern coast of the island. You have no idea what you'll find, but it was important enough for the map's creator to record.
