66,24 are the coords of the cave to the north.

He's not actually in the cave, he's outside, next to the boiling pot of water and the tent. He also doesn't have a question mark over him, you have to speak to him to start the convo.

The location is Flame Crest if you don't want coordinates. The same place as the horde flight path, but it is safe for alliance.

Ragged John is beside the little tint at the location off 66,24. besdie the 2 little goblins. hard to notice but he is there

At this point I don't see it on my map and I know that the alliance safe spot never shows up on the map so I need some help in find this Flame Crest. I have already been in two caves in the north and nothing and if people can make things clearer with location without coordinates it will help others in the future ..

If you're coming from the direction of the road, there's a Horde Wind Rider Master between you and the NCP. Jump off the hill and come around from the back to avoid him.

Hard to find if you've never been there.

Coordinates are: Burning Steppes (65, 23) using Titan Panel .

<NB: The upper left corner of a zone has coords 0,0 and the lower right has 100,100.>

The sought loc is hardup against the northern mountain wall and way east of Blackrock Spire.

Its on a bearing of NNW from the alliance FP.

OR

From Searing Gorge: run thru blackrock spire to the Burning steps and proceed south till u hit the main road. Then head east till u get to a northerly turn. Take it. Avoiding agro as much as possible head north and bear the slighest bit to the east.

The place u seek is the Hordie FP. It is north of some lava flows resemmbling a coat hanger and of the ruins of Thaurssan.

There u will find some alliance friendlies and some hordie friendlies with a horde flight master.

John Boy is hiding quietly amoungst them and has NO yellow question mark. He also has no quest completion buttons. Just hit on his conversation icon till he quits.

just ask him all of the question and he'll tell you the whole story. when he is just turn the quest in. make sure you watch you back, horde flight plan is right there.

Oh, you'll miss Ragged John if you don't actually look around Flame Crest. He doesn't have the quest indicator over his head.

Coordinates are correct from statements above however once you have listened to his story and it says complete in your quest log then you travel back to Morgan's Vigil in Burning steppes where the flight path is. Speak to marshall Maxwell and he will give you next quest..

Yes he doesn't have a yellow question mark above his head so keep that in mind. Simply talk to him and he will tell you his little story. I recommend actually reading the story... it is actually kinda funny and entertaining hah.

Personally i reckon the easiest way to find Flame Crest is to die and then you can spirit res right next to it. Oh and he won't show up on your mini map as a yellow question mark like they normally do. You just have to keep talking to him so he tells you tell the whole story.

You have to take qest from elf in Alliance base in Burning steps - Dragonkin menace. After foing this, he will send you to Magister Solomon in Redrige. And then magister will send you to Bolvar in SW keep. Thats the begining of "Onyxia qest" - The great masquerade

i am lv 53, and can't talk to Solomon in Lakeshire. he doesn't even have a silver ! over his 'ead..... anyone know what's up?

I think blizzard kinda forgot that there would be dwarves would be doing this quest, because with what he says, it looks like it was designed to be said to a non-dwarf.

When doing this quest... Don't look for a yellow dot on the minimap like I did for almost two hours. He's in Flame Crest to the far North. Have to talk to him and read his story... Stupid me.

Alliance Guide for Quests: 7-12

7. - Burning Steppes - Talk to Ragged John at Flame Crest (90, 45). - Talk to Marshal Maxwell at Morgan's Vigil (85, 69).

8. - BRD - Talk to Marshal Windsor in prison cell. - *Need Shadowforge Key (Someone in your group will have it). - *Communicate with your squad about what you're doing. Be the first to speak to Marshal Windsor.

9. - Morgan's Vigil - Talk to Marshal Maxwell.

You will not have any quests now. The quest chain resumes in BRD.

10. - BRD - This note drops off mobs in BRD and starts the quest. - Keep this note. - Talk to Marshal Windsor in prison cell. - *Quarry Slave outside the instance has a 6% drop rate if you're soloing this part.

11. - BRD - Defeat Golem Lord Argelmach and General Angerforge.

12. - BRD - Clear the loop and escape path first. - *When you enter Morgan Windsor's cell, expect to get jumped by about 10 mobs (may be a good time for everyone to use Essence of Eranikus). - *Communicate with your squad about what you're doing. Other members may need to speak to Marshal Windsor first. *This quest is usually advertised on the LFG chat channel, and that's why it's important for a squad to communicate about what part of the quest chain they're on. - *If this quest fails, the instance Must be Reset. - *If you take too long, mobs will respawn.

Marshal Windsor = BRD prison cell
Marshal Maxwell = Morgan's Vigil

after repeated failures and confusion.

What? You thought you were the first? How many soldiers must we lose before Stormwind acts?

We had accumulated enormous amounts of intelligence pertaining to the Blackrock menace before we lost our commanding officer, Marshal Windsor. With Marshal Windsor went all of our precious information.

What we need is that documentation. Speak with Ragged John, <name>. He was with Windsor when they were attacked by a Blackrock raiding party. He was last seen in a cave to the north.
