This sounds like a pretty easy way to get exalted with Danassus, not to mention the +2 cooking award.

The quest giver provides the meat, which can be cooked right away as there is a stove nearby. Just click the icon in the quest helper(or the meat in inventory) and the meat will be cooked. Target a sentinel and click on the rib meat. Once a sentinel is fed they cannot be fed again for two minutes, a food symbol will appear over their head and a buff duration icon near their portrait. There are three sentinels near the bottom of the ramp of the cooking trainer's building, so with luck and a mount this daily can be completed in under a minute.

This may be the best cooking daily out there.

You actually have to cook something (fairly rare for most modern cooking dailies).
The mats are provided (don't have to spend 5 hrs farming piggies).
You feed the guards (isn't the point of cooking to feed people?).

Too bad this is in Darnassus and only 1% or less of the WoW population will ever do this quest.

There are five quests for each major city. If you do all five you get an achievement for that city called, "Let's do lunch: Darnassus or Ironforge or Stormwind" and if you do all five in each of the three cities you get the achievement, " A bunch of lunch". In each city there is one of five quests that gives 2 instead of one Chef's award and this is one of them. To get the the achievement Iron chef in the shortest amount of time which requires learning almost all the cataclysm recipes you should do this: Go from Stormwind to Iron Forge to Darnassus until you find the quest that rewards 2 chef's award instead of 1 for your daily quest because the quests are all linked. This means if you do the available cooking quest in Darnasus then you have to wait till midnight to do the cooking quest in Stormwind. If a 2 chef award quest is not available by the time you get to Darnassus then settle for the single award till the next day.

Nice simple daily. Although slightly disappointed that Blizzard doesn't have a "chubby" model of sentinel to use for the 5 or 6 sentinels closest to the cooking trainer.

I hope I'm not the only one that fell prey to slightly ambiguous grammar here: "Use the Uncooked Ribs near a stove or campfire"

Just quickly glanced at the quest text, then went looking for a campfire or stove with Uncooked Ribs next to it. ddumb

After completing the achievements for doing all 5 cooking quests in Darnassus, Ironforge and Stormwind then you should check each city daily before picking one.

Each city offers one quest that gives 2 chef's awards instead of 1.

Stormwind - Feeling Crabby
Darnassus - Ribs for the Sentinels
Ironforge - Keepin the Haggis Flowing

Checking and getting 2 awards instead of 1 will allow you to learn all the recipes faster, get the "eating" achievement quicker, then you won't have to do the cooking dailies anymore.

Its worth noting that this quest dose indeed give 2 Chef's Award!

For every city there is 1 quest that gives 2 instead of 1.

For Ironforge its Keepin' the Haggis Flowin'
And for Stormwind its Feeling Crabby?

This is worth while knowing so if you hate theses dailys and want your awards faster you can go city to city and find out which city is offering the quest for 2 instead of 1.
