This quest helps give the back story on Malfurion Stormrage's present condition through the conversation he has with your orphan, plus he gives your orphan wings which is cool in itself.

Orphan: Wow, you sure don’t look like any night elf I’ve seen before!

Orphan: Our orphan matron says druids can turn in to birds, cats, and bears, but you look like a combination of all of them!

Orphan: I see what you’re doing. You’re gonna take all of the druid forms and make them into one super-form!

Malfurion Stormrage: No, little one, it’s nothing like that. My spirit spent many years in the Emerald Dream while my body slept, and it started to take on attributes of our animal forms.

Orphan: The Emerald Dream doesn’t sound like a place for me. What if it turns me into a turtle? I’ve always wanted wings, though…(Malfurion casts a spell, giving your orphan white wings)

Orphan: Wheeee! I’m a bird-boy! (Orphan runs/glides around with his temporary wing buff).

I think that the person who said "go through the ramp" meant to say climb the circular ramp inside the temple and talk to the girl standing next to the Viking-looking guy at the top of the ramp.

I hope it was a reference to Maximum Ride. Bird Boy live on! Naming my liddle orphan Fang after this quest.

Why is there a map for Sholazar Basin here? Spent ages flying there for no reason :(

Don't pay attention to the map for Sholazar. Take the boat to Rutheran Village, fly to Darnassus, and go to the Temple of the Moon. Call your orphan, quest done!

[I heard that Malfurion Stormrage came back from the Emerald Dream. I don't know where that is, but it sounds like it's really far away.

Anyway, he's supposed to be at the top of the Temple of the Moon in Darnassus with the High Priestess. D'you think we could go meet him? He's got to be the most powerful druid in the history of Azeroth!]
