A copy of the final Dalaran Children's Week quest, Oracle side, rewarding the Curmudgeon's Payoff... *edit* and now it lists 25 Magical Pet Biscuits as an alternative choice. I don't think I'll ever get that payoff *sniff*

I guess you would receive this quest if you already have the Curious Oracle Hatchling but choose to repeat Roo's questline instead of Kekek's*. As of the upcoming Children's Week 2012, some people will already have both companions from doing the questlines in 2010 (irregular first Northrend Children's Week) and 2011, so we might see this quest (or the Wolvar one, respectively)

* Yes, for the historical record, I first assumed you needed both companions, but if you think about it, the choice is already made when you reach this point in the questline, so it would only require to have the Oracle Hatchling, while the status of the Wolvar Pup doesn't matter.

I have the Wolvar Pup from last year so I chose the Oracle's this year. Didn't receive a pet or a payoff.

I received the oracle pet in mail after completing the quest.

Note that it might take a couple of seconds/minutes before the mail arrives in your mailbox, don't freak out.

This is a quest that never appears in your log. Since the "ordinary" quests are repeated each year, this blocks receiving the same pet twice. Or I'm pretty sure it does.
