When you do this quests, you will be teleported to Andorhal and receive Flight Paths up to Andorhal if you have not received them yet. This is the best way to begin the Andorhal quests.

Worth mentioning, You CAN'T pick this quest up if you have any of the quests listed on the right side in Quick Facts, I did not test turning one of them in and trying to pick up the quest, but it was unavaliable for me until I dropped Hero's Call:WPL

I can confirm that it is possible to talk to him multiple times to get a portal to Andorhal. The major drawback is that it won't be possible to obtain the follow-up quest Scourge First... Horde Later and as a result, obtain Western Plaguelands Quests.

This must be part of the phasing system that Blizz is implementing. When I rode through Andorhal with my 80s to get the new flight paths, I noticed some red-tagged mobs as soon as I entered town, but they almost immediately disappeared. All the NPCs were friendly there for my 80s.

After accepting the portal in Booty Bay and then the flightpath, the town is full of faction NPCs battling the last remnants of the Scourge.

I thoroughly enjoyed this quest line. It is not terribly challenging for the level, but the story is rich with lore and helps tell the story of what happened to Andorhal between old world and Cataclysm. You see some old "friends" like Araj and Tharassian, kill some new bosses, and see the new post-Cat plague lands.

Have to say "bravo" to Blizz.

This quest is very awesome for those trying to work on Archaeology in Eastern Kingdoms. The portal is initiated by you talking to the quest giver, and is usable as many times as you wish, so long as you don't turn in the quest. You can then fly south from Western Plaguelands and dig up any sites you see. Take the portal at Booty Bay (again) and pop back at the top of the continent.

This method has saved hours of my time while trying to farm for my staff/sword/soul back. :P

Edit: I don't know if there's a Horde equivalent, but I do this as an Alliance character.

why doesn't this work for me? i'm a lvl 35 worgen priest. do you need to have done another quest before this one, or do i have to talk to thaurissan in WPL to do this? makes the port that this guy gives pretty useless.

Please tell me when there is a way to multi use the portal from booty too Andorhal, how you do this. all i see now that it is possible but i dont see in the forum how it is possible. i tried several times to accomplish it, but allways i get stranded. so tell the trick step by step cause it probably is harder to get the trick as i thought it would be.

Confirmed that you can hand in the quest without using the teleport.

[We just received a gryphon from the plaguelands, bearing news. It doesn't sound good.

The city of Andorhal is in the middle of a three-way war between the Forsaken, the Alliance, and the Scourge. King Wrynn has rolled the dice and sent a death knight to lead the charge for his cause, but I'm sure he can use all the help he can get.

They specifically asked for an Alliance <class> to participate in some specialized missions. If you accept the charge, speak to me again and I will prepare a portal.]
