Cool and interesting quest, unfortunately the quest text doesn't really tell you what to do. You get to watch Illidan and Arthas fight. Pretty cool. I sat back and read the dialogue and took some screen shots. When the battle ended, I got a "quest failed" message. Huh? I didn't know I was supposed to do anything.

So I grabbed the quest again and this time, I engaged Arthas. Once his health gets down to a certain point, there is more dialogue and the quest completes.

If you want to watch the battle a couple of times, feel free. If you just want to do the quest and get it over with, start beating up on Arthas. Nice little piece of lore here. :-)

I love it when Blizzard show some cutscenes from Warcraft 3. I'm dissapointed that they didn't add the speech files from it though.

Illidan and Arthas appear and face off each other.

Illidan Stormrage says: I am free after ten thousand years, yet still my own brother thinks I am a villain! I'll show him my true power! I'll show him that the demons have no hold over me!
Arthas says: Are you certain of that, demon hunter? Are you certain your will is your own?
Illidan Stormrage says: You reek of death, human. You'll regret approaching me.
Arthas says: Come then. You'll find that we're evenly matched.

After you help to bring Arthas health down (if Illidan dies, you fail the quest and have to restart):

Illidan Stormrage says: We could go on fighting like this forever. What is it you truly want?
Arthas says: The dreadlord who commands this undead army is called Tichondrius. He controls a powerful warlock artifact called the Skull of Gul'dan. It is responsible for corrupting these forests.
Illidan Stormrage says: And you wish for me to steal it. Why?
Arthas says: Let's just say that I have no love for Tichondrius, and the lord I serve would... benefit from the Legion's downfall.

I cant see Arthas so i cant do the quest!

I also couldn't see him but i'm a hunter so i simply put my pet on aggressive and kept tapping kill command.

This quest pissed me off. Arthas didn't have the Helm of Domination. he didn't even wore a helmet until he became the Lich King.

Also he rode his mount back then but I guess that would require more work, but still, even showing a slightly remastered version of the original cinematic would have been better...

Don't take me wrong, the quest chain is preety awesome showing the lore for those who didn't play WC 3, but little details like this can cause displeasure sometimes.

I enjoyed the quest but it bothered me that they didn't use Arthas' death knight model that's been used before in wow. A bit lazy from the devs. In any case, a nice chain.

Would also make the whole cinematic more epic if they added in the voice chat like they were in wc3 during the quest

Quests like this have always struck me as a little strange. If we're there to witness a past event; what sense does it make that we are required to engage it? How the heck am I "attacking" a manifestation of Arthas? Why would I need to?

Not sure if anything was actually changed, but I didn't have to do anything to complete the quest - didn't have to engage in battle. All I did was stand there (ready to fight, but not starting first) and it completed on its own.
