To the best of my knowledge at the time of this posting this is the only quest in all of WoW that gives players a choice between doing good or evil, much like a traditional RPG. Blizzard once again proves that, when it comes to quests, there is virtually no limit to what they can and are willing to do.

Not that it's a difficult quest in the first place but you can speed it up ever so slightly.

Simply right-click on a "seedling" to remove the trapped human from the dirt. Once he's out, right click on your shovel to kill him.

Credit for 2 "saved" humans, for the low price of one!

Hah!

And I thought Northrend quests were dark. You even hear them screaming. Not to mention their heads explode if you hit them with the shovel.

Overall the entire Forsaken questline is really grim stuff even by non-WoW standards. Not that that's a bad thing.

At the time of writing, this quest is marked as only obtainable by Forsaken players, however I was able to pick it up as a Blood Elf. I'm not sure about other Horde races' ability to pick it up however. Was it originally unobtainable to other races in the beta?

That said, this quest was amazing. Don't forget to keep the shovel and pop some heads with it whenever you're in the area!

This quest isn't available until you do No One Here Gets Out Alive, which itself is a chain starting from the beginning of the zone starting from Welcome to the Machine. (About ~6 quests)

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think this is the first quest for forsaken which does not have an npc to turn the quest in. Simply go to your quest log, click on this quest, and there will be an option called "Complete Quest" on the bottom right.

Doing this on my Tauren ... amazing how the humans suddenly learn how to speak Taurahe ... or maybe the quest gives me the power to understand human speech. In any case, I'm not able to attack the humans I save, oh well.

This has to be the most disturbing quest I have ever came across in an mmo lol, I enjoyed every minute of it, Hiilsbrad is now officially my favourite zone for questing. Well done Blizz!

"Do the Right Thing" is also an 80's movie made by Spike Lee. It doesn't have to do with burying people in dirt though.

I did this quest on a lowbie alt I have some time ago, and from an RP point of view, she would definitely have bashed heads instead of save them - only, I didn't observe closely enough and wasn't aware I had an option to kill. I just went around right clicking heads and pulling them out, amused that the game tricked me into thinking what I was about to do.

Now I'm doing it on my main for the Loremaster, and now I can see that I've got the choice. I'm a bit bummed because a part of me wants to do the killing just so I can experience both sides of the quest, but that is so not like my orc warrior to do that. (RP wise)

I'm probably looking too much into it.

I think the only way Blizz could have made this more entertaining was to have Gnome "seedlings".

If you have the "Interact on Left Click" option ticked in your interface options, you can ONLY SAVE the human seedlings, not whack them with the shovel, as you are unable to left click to select them.

My Forsaken Warlock was most disappointed until I realised what the problem was. So if you want to bash some heads (and get the fantastic buff Head Asplode ), you need to disable the interact on left click option.

[You have come upon a horrific scene. Someone or something has buried all of the humans up to their necks in a manner consistent with planting. The ghouls, which are seemingly tending the field of human seedlings, periodically jump to the nearest human and devour its head!

You can end this right here and now. Take this shovel and "save" the humans.
