You get this quest after completing both "The Warden's Game" and "The Sentinel's Game."
Go back into the main chamber of the ruins, with both statues. Talk to each, and they will come online and attack you. Once you fight both of them, a chest spawns in the back of the room, open it to complete the quest.

they seem to be only able to fight directly in front of themselves, so don't stand there.

This is the Horde variant of the quest. The Alliance version can be found here.

Incidentally, does anyone know how to flag a quest that needs to be updated to be faction specific?

Zexter, I had the same problem,logged out and disabled my add-ons, logged back in and I could see the yellow ? and interact with the chest to complete the quest.
