When doing this part of the quest, be aware that every time you loot an egg, a Scorched Guardian will aggro on you, even if they are all the way across the ravine.

These drakes are immune to all fire damage, as I found out on my Enh Shaman.

While doing this quest as a 47 Combat Rogue, I noticed that whichever dragon was nearest to me when I looted an egg attacked me when I took it, even if it was on the other side of the ravine. I also noticed that, when I took an egg, the dragon that was going to cme after me began breathing fire, making it easy to target him before he got to me.

As a night elf hunter, I picked up one or two eggs near each other, and if I went into combat I used either Shadowmeld or Feign Death and didn't have to fight a single drake for this quest.

The prerequisite to this quest chain is a quest called "Easily Swayed" given by Dolph Blastus in Fuselight. Then Rhea will have this for you.

Something else that may be useful...find a string of six eggs close to each other. Loot the first one, when the drake shows up just keep going. If you can keep your health up and not suffer too badly from knock back you can loot all six eggs....turn around and kill the first and only spawned drake. Done and done.

[I am experimenting with black dragons. Specifically, I am interested in how they procreate.

My current experiments require plenty of black dragon eggs, which is why I am here in Lethlor Ravine. I'd gather the eggs myself, but I think you'll benefit from helping me out.

You will find them along the edges of the ravine. Beware the guardians that circle above - they do not appreciate stolen eggs.]
