I was confused when that happened. Head down to Pyrewood Village southeast of The Forsaken Front, and Godfrey will appear with the next part in the chain.

If this happens to you, like it did to me, and you head to Pyrewood and Godfrey doesn't show up, take a FP somewhere, then just fly right back. Now head toward Pyrewood, take a step or two inside.

Three questgivers show up.

Loving the whole Silverpine quest line. Spillover rep into Bilgewater Cartel ftw.

This part is bugged for me ... No matter what I do, he evades. Anyone else experienced that ?

I know I'm supposed to kill he's minions, but nothing happens ...

reading quest log we should be able to "gather" some sort of arcane mobs near him and make him go boom!

Tried this quest three times, each time he evade bugs and just sits there mocking me. He has yet to summon anything after twenty minutes, four quest drops, and a relog.

Had to kill so many minions I thought it had bugged, but it worked in the end. Each minion gives 14xp and I killed enough to make over 3000xp... long fight.

If you don't see the next quests, head southwest towards Pyrewood Village. 3 NPCs pop out of stealth, following you, and give these:

Lessons in Fear
Pyrewood's Fall
Of No Consequence

Still bugged it seems, found the Archmage, all he's doing is evading, no minions nothing. =/ I've dropped the quest and re-gotten it 3 times and relogged and no go. Too bad, I was having a lot of fun with this chain.

*Edited because I can't spell, lol

** Edited again: if the Archmage is off to the side of the road, he's bugged. I put in a ticket about it and the next time I went out there he was in the middle of the road and I was able to complete the quest. I'm hoping since a ticket was entered he'll be fixed, but no promises.

This fight was the most tedious experience for me in 4 years of WoW. Kill minion after minion after minion after minion. What fun.

Okay - so you want these gloves Guanti di Ataeric for your level 14 caster twink.

Understand that Lady Sylvanas is not hanging around at "The Forsaken Front" waiting to hand out this quest chain. If you want the gloves, you have to start waaaaay back at "Forsaken High Command" and follow the natural quest progression until Sylvanas appears at "The Forsaken Front."

I did MANY quests in this zone before Sylvanas finally migrated all the way south to "The Forsaken Front." Probably more than 30 quests - that's the bad news. The good news is that the quest chain in Silverpine is excellent and well worth the time. Have fun!

Not to worry this quest is not bugged ur simply suppost to stand afk beside him and after a while he will overload. U can see his power rising if u have him targeted.

If you're a lvl 85/90 dps, you can actually burst him down (although he actually regains health quite frequently) to save you the effort of waiting for his minions to spawn, if you're doing this for Loremaster for example.

At first when i was doing the quest and killing the minions i thought the quest had lagged because i had been killing them for at least 10 minutes. But eventually he overloaded and died and the quest was over.
I'd like to point out that you DO NOT have to attack the archmage, it won't do anything. All you have to do is kill the minions, it might take some time before he overloads, but eventually he will. So be patient!

Should you find him, do what you must to stop him from channeling his magic. He is undoubtedly protected by a powerful arcane shield, and will send minions of arcane energy after you. Defeat the minions while they are near him to unleash their energies. No mage can handle that much power!]
