I was a little thrown off by this quest. It requires you have a Gorilla Fang for starters, and the quest marker is a little misleading. When you get to the valley the marker is placed in, there is a cave north of the quest marker with a Troll Witch Doctor (the one mentioned in the quest text) that starts an event where different Gorilla's charge up the trail and attack you leading up to Mokk himself.

Witch Doctor Unbagwa is located in a cave at (54.2, 46.5) in The Cape of Stranglethorn. You'll need one Gorilla Fang to start the event, after which three gorillas appear one at a time. The last gorilla will be Mokk the Savage, who will drop the item needed to complete the quest.

I could've sworn I cured this guy a couple years back. And then again a couple months later, and I think a third time. And I know my friend cured him again later. Shouldn't he have built up an immunity to this by now?

I did this one back before the Cataclysm reset, no problems.

Looking to get a bit more cartel rep, I went to redo it, but found no witch doctor in the cave. Hung around a while, no witch doctor. Went and killed gorillas until I got a fang, witch doctor appeared.

Weird, when I tried to do this quest, Unbagwa was dead with an enraged silverback in his cave. Killed the silverback, Unbagwa disappeared and hasn't respawned since.

Edit: abandoning and retaking the quest seemed to fix it.

I went to the valley and the gorillas aren't even there...
I re logged and they would show up temporarily
I tried abandoning the quest and it still didnt fix it
any suggestions?

As of 9/23/11, I can accept the quest, but there are *NO* gorillas, no witch doctor in the cave, no nothing. The entire area is devoid of NPC/mob life. This is disappointing, since I'd like the rep and completion for this quest. While I already did all these quests WAY way back in vanilla, I was looking forward to re-doing them for profit and pleasure now =(

Currently working on my loremaster and when it come to this quest I was a bit thrown as the npc "Witch Doctor Unbagwa" was nowhere to be seen, I flew around for about 5 minutes and after making sure there was no more caves in the area, I came back. He took about 5 minutes to actually show up for me so if he isn't there, just wait a while and he should pop up, also confirming you need a Gorilla Fang, and they have a pretty good drop rate from the Elder Mistvale Gorillas just further down the valley outside the cave.

Pretty specific cure. I'd hate to be the second guy to contract Stranglethorn Fever.

That's cute. They added this line in Cataclysm, since Stranglethorn Vale got split into two zones, Northern Stranglethorn and Cape of Stranglethorn.

I was having issues with seeing the mobs for this quest, but I think the issue was that I was still working on Bwemba's Spirit https://www.wowhead.com/cata/quest=29100 a level 80+ quest. That quest occurs in the same zone as this and other level ~30 quests. Once I turned in Bwemdba's Spirit and logged out and the logged back in, the 85 level mobs disappeared and the 32 level mobs (i.e., gorrilas) re-appeared.
