Actually, Red Bandana will drop off any Moonbrook Thug in Moonbrook. No need to go to the Deadmines.

Could anyone confirm that you actually can obtain this begins a quest before you have done any other quests in Westfall?
Those bracers would be pretty neat on my level 1 twink.

You need to pick up in order for the bandana to drop off of the mobs.

Just to explain how I confirmed this for the sake of the skeptical ^_~, I repeatedly went to Moonbrook between quests in the investigation quest chain to see if they would drop off . Before I picked up this quest it did not drop. After I picked the quest up it was a 100% drop rate.

Also, can be found hiding just behind the buildings in Moonbrook.

You can do this quest with if mobs already spawned and ready as follows;

1. Get in Moonbrook from the flight point. Take the first house on the right. 2 thugs inside. Kill the first one loot the quest item. Accept the quest and kill the other thug. Get the 2 quest items.
2. Go outside the house turn right and take the other quest item near the center of the fountain.
3. Go inside the inn. Kill 1 thug at the inn and 1 thug at the kitchen.
4. Go upstairs and kill 1 thug accross the room. and kill the other thug in the room where the last quest item is. Loot the quest item.
5. Go outside the inn. Just go to stables where only 1 thug is wandering around kill him. (Other houses have 2 thugs in them. not necessary to do an extra fight.)

6. And turn in the quests.
